My friend and I have walked past this spot a couple of times while on our lunch break, walks. So today we made this lovely establishment a stop on our walk. We walked in and the atmosphere was super chill and calm. There was some good music playing, not too loud and not too quiet. The volume was just right. There is a lot of seating throughout the storefront which is really nice. The menu may seem simple but the love that's put into creating beverages was top tier. My friend and I both ordered iced teas, and we're served a beautiful iced tea. I ordered a tai iced tea, and he ordered a mango iced tea. Now most boba places give you your tea with ice in it, but the man making our drinks shook them in a drink shaker with ice and strained it into our cups. There was no ice in our cups , which preserved the flavor of tea with a big chefs kiss. Now I tend to default with tapioca pearls in my boba tea because you can judge the quality a place puts into their drinks based on the tapioca pearls. TELL ME WHY, these tapioca pearls were absolutely PERFECT!!!! They weren't over cooked nor under cooked. They were the absolute perfect texture through and through. Plus the guy working today was really friendly and talked to us about the Bills game from yesterday while making our drinks. I can't emphasize how lovely the experience today was. And how I'm totally looking forward to going back. If you are on the fence about going to this place, DON'T BE. You will love it. I promise you it's not going to let you down.
You'll see I've attached a photo of my drink. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not taking a pic sooner. But I couldn't help it, it was delicious. Like I said before, take the chance and check this...
Read moreI've been looking for a place to study that is cozy and relaxing and this place hits the spot. The space is open and has large, inviting couches where you can sit down and chat or hunker down and get some writing done. They also have a large bar style seating as well as tables and chairs.
Ibrahim, who was running the tea shop, was very welcoming and friendly and made a point to chat with some of the customers. I came in around 5 pm and ordered a chamomile tea (it was one of the few herbal tea options on the menu) that was very good. Their selection of green and black teas were a little larger, and as Ibrahim explained, the tea is sourced from different parts of the world. They also offer coffee as well, although I have yet to try this. No food yet, but my guess is that will be coming soon.
The space is filling out, but does need a little more furniture such as coffee tables and/or end tables near the large couches as I initially struggled to find a spot to place my drink down, which was very hot (maybe some cup sleeves are needed too). However, this wasn't a big issue and I could just move to a different spot.
Overall, the new tea shop is beautiful and spacious and provides the perfect setting for focused work while enjoying some soothing tea. I'm excited to see...
Read moreLet me be clear: they make the best matcha in the city. Period.
The matcha here is a work of art. Rich, velvety, and perfectly balanced â never too bitter, never too sweet. You can tell they source high-grade ceremonial matcha, and they treat it with the care and respect it deserves. Whether itâs the classic whisked matcha or one of their creative seasonal blends, every sip feels grounding, energizing, and downright divine.
Beyond the drinks, the vibe of The Original Teahouse is exactly what youâd hope for: warm lighting, calming music, and a subtle blend of modern design with traditional Japanese touches. The staff are knowledgeable, passionate, and always down to share a recommendation or walk you through the brewing process if youâre curious.
This isnât just a place to grab a drink â itâs a ritual, an experience, and a love letter to tea culture. If youâre even remotely a fan of matcha, do yourself a favor and visit. Youâll leave not only refreshed, but a little...
