Apparently Bada Bing doesn't allow black men wearing hoods. Me thinks they probably welcome white men with KKK hoods though considering how blatantly & unapologetically racist their establishment is.
Their tone deaf initial response on their official Facebook page was quickly taken down and replaced with what I guess you could say was a more appropriate response. However their initial response cancels out whatever damage control they're trying to do now. They need to hire a new PR guy because he/she isn't doing them any favors. They have since also disabled their Facebook pages review function. Never heard of a sports bar having a dress code, but if you insist on having one (which ludicrous, you're eating wings for God's sake) then enforce it on everyone not just on POC. A photo of the incident literally shows a group of white people in hoodies eating but a Black man gets kicked out for wearing one. There are far better and superior options in the area without a heaping side of racism. Don't forget the unprofessionalism. Reports say the manager or whoever told the black young man wearing a hoodie who was asked to leave for wearing said hoodie "(expletive) you and don't come back".
Bada Bing--"Wings, Beer, and Classic American Racism"
New slogan I wrote for them let me know what y'all think.
I have a suggestion on how to make amends... -Fire the employee. -Make a public apology, and acknowledge how poorly they have handled the incident -Have a mandatory diversity training for your staff -Make a public invitation to Chris Jarell to return. -Allow Chris to determine what type of visit he would like to make. Note: He's an actor and comedian... give him a stage and mic and let him set up a forum to talk about hate. Call it "An evening with #ChrisJarell "
It could go a long ways to fix your image and to regain the trust of the POC community because as of right now we do not feel welcome or wanted in your establishment and will be taking our business elsewhere until a...
Read moreFantastic food and great drinks but our service was so insanely bad. Our group of five had Jenna L as a server upstairs. It was 5 pm on a saturday and we were the only table. We thought that maybe she was also taking care of some tables downstairs, however, when she wasnt helping us she was on her phone sitting at the bar beside us. This isn't really a problem for us because all work has some downtime but when one of our drinks spilled she was mid conversation with another server and had to find napkins ourself. She heard the spill and glanced over then contined her conversation. It was almost a joke to us because she had checked on our table twice the whole time we were eating and did not even motion to where some napkins would be. Most of our party hadn't been here before and did not know where things were so we ending up grabbing a bunch at the bar right where Jenna was sitting with her coworker. All of us thought this was insanely weird, the terrible service, until we saw the check. Tip was already included. After checking the menu closely it was printed at the bottom in small print "all parties are subject to gratuity". It wasn't until then we realized that the reason we received such slow, unwilling service is because she was infact already getting paid no matter how she treated us. When we tought ut couldn't get any worse: there was a bug in our bloody mary. Genuinely upset not for us but for ther future parties...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for dinner for our wedding anniversary. Call us simple, we're not big on super fancy places for special occasions and we just wanted to go somewhere with good food and have a drink. My husband had a fish fry and I had the Bada Bing burger (I think that's what it was called, it was the bacon cheeseburger). Our meals came with 1 side (the fish fry also had mac salad which was really good, and we're both picky when it comes to mac salad) and we had both wanted tots which unfortunately you can't order as a side, but we got some as an appetizer. The tots here are perfect and just too good to pass up! I got a cocktail and my husband got a Captain and Coke. All together it was about $70 (without the tip). We haven't been out in a long time, that happens with kids, work, and life, so it was just a tad more expensive than I had thought, and seen online from their menu, but definitely still very reasonable and very worth it! The food was so good! Really good sized portions too, we had to each box up almost half our plates. Our waitress was great and so was the atmosphere. Whether you just want to grab some burgers and beers with the boys after work, catch a game on one of their big tvs, or have a cute little date night with your significant other, I would recommend this...
