Be careful being a Chipotle customer. Every time we order we don't have things we asked for in the order, and we do have things we didn't ask for (example: loads of dairy when you didn't order any for your bowl, or the wtong meat, or rice when you said no rice and no beans when you said extra beans). If you call and get through the automated order program to the store, hope you don't get the woman who's manager. She has terrible phone etiquette, is confrontational, and talks over you when you finally get through the automated system and Chipotle corporate after you're already completely frustrated from multiple orders being ruined and completely inaccurate (example: loads of dairy when you didn't order any for your bowl, or the wtong meat, or rice when you said no rice and no beans when you said extra beans). She doesn't seem to understand that the first order of representing the cubism that employs her using the money they get from customers is to allow a minute for a person to finish a complete sentence. The employee who answered the phone initially was polite and empathetic, and actually started to make me have hope that Chipotle cares about customers, but the manager was yelling audibly at him and then talking over me when I tried to answer questions after she took the phone away, and then interrupted me consistently while I wasn't even halfway through the sentence trying to answer her question. If you're in that big of a rush, let the employee with phone skills answer the phone and make the orders while he's taking the call and just let's you know what's needed. She treated me like an obstacle in her path to the end of her shift when she could go home and was not professional. I have rarely experienced open rudeness from anyone in a restaurant, and when we find in anywhere we're generous tippers and meet really sweet people who work at the restaurants. The adage that I wish people are still taught is people don't care what you know if they don't know that you care. That goes for restaurant employees towards customers, and customers towards restaurant employees. Everyone needs kindness. When someone calls saying they've had problems multiple times, and the emote you were talking to was very kind, and the manager who's taken over the call treats you like a nuisance and talks over you when you ask them to stop talking over you and being obnoxious, that's the sign of a manager who doesn't belong in management. The food is average but healthy if you pick the right ingredients, but since I've almost never had an order made correctly, I can't speak highly of the service, and have no confidence in management. It's a poor commentary given that some stores probably have managers that represent their employer and recognize they're there because of other people who work just like they do. Tip: If you order on GrubHub, the pricing is automatically higher negate they pad the prices on top of charging a service fee and delivery, not including the tip for the driver.
Be aware that an automated rubber stamp response to customer feedback, asking a customer to contact Chipotle, is a confirmation of the same dysfunctional pattern of behavior that caused the issue: abusive and unfair customer treatment upon the customer contact with Chipotle to bring attention to the problem. Why would anyone call about an issue knowing the person who caused the problem behaves in such a way to drive...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience yesterday!! I have been coming to this location for the past 3 years. Recently within the past year the quality has changed drastically. I went in to order my husband and I dinner and there was absolutely no line. The food was full and ready to eat. I asked for half chicken, half steak for my bowl and the lady didn't even put that much protein. Both proteins together didn't even add up to one full scoop of just one. Even when I've ordered one protein, they slowly have been minimizing the portion size. They don't even give full scoops anymore. I asked for a little more because I BARELY had any protein, and the lady put about 3 more small cubes of steak in my bowl. I looked at her and asked for a little more because it was getting ridiculous. She gave me a little sigh with attitude. I ordered half chicken and half carnitas for my husband and the same thing happened with the meat. She then CHARGED ME DOUBLE for asking for a little bit more of protein. Keep in mind I HAD to ask because if not, it would just be a bowl of rice and toppings. I spent twice the amount that I normally spend. This is the first time in 3 years at this location I WAS CHARGED for doubles when I never even asked for doubles. The lady serving my food was the same who checked me out at the register and when I asked about the charge, she told me "When you keep asking for more and we keep putting about 2-3 cubes of meat, we have to charge double." This is news to me. Even if I just ordered one protein like times before, I wouldn't have to ask for a little more if they would just give one full scoop. They are more than generous with the toppings, so I'm just supposed to eat a bowl of rice, toppings, and hopefully find 6 pieces of meat in my bowl? I will not be going to this location anymore! The new location at the exchange has only been there for a little bit and their quality is amazing and aren't stingy with food. TERRIBLE experience and...
Read moreThis is a review I submitted to the corporate offices of Chipotle:
One star is too generous, but I cannot post this review without a star rating.
My most recent experience at this particular establishment was not pleasant, and I am sure it does not meet the expectations of your company. When I entered this restaurant, I noticed a lack of sanitation and concern for the integrity of the food and service this company provides. The food service counter was excessively messy with food scattered everywhere, there was queso mixed in the meats, and there was trash thrown around the dining area. I encountered three employees while ordering my food, and they were all rude, not happy to be at their job, and unprofessional. The one employee who stood out as the most rude and inconsiderate was wearing long fake eyelashes and has dark hair (I was unable to get her name). I ordered the vegetarian bowl, and I wanted guacamole on my bowl, and she insisted that the guacamole would be extra. She did serve me my guacamole, but only after I repeatedly asked her about it. She rolled her eyes and whispered something in reference to me to the cashier who was standing next to her. After bringing my food home, I attempted to call and speak with a manager. They would not answer my phone calls. I called several times, and the employees would either hang up or ignore my calls completely. In the ten or more years that I have been frequenting this establishment I have seen a substantial decline in customers. The line used to be around the whole restaurant, and now I can walk straight to the counter to place my order. After experiencing this, I can understand the steady decline of patrons at this establishment. Again, I do not believe that this is the kind of image you want to be projecting...
