To give it 1 star is way too much. My family and I came in on Saturday around 5:30 pm. We were a rather large party (6 adults and 3 children) so we understood waiting 20 minutes for 2 tables to finish so we could be sat. Service started off as expected and was smooth getting our fountain drinks to the table and the appetizer order taken. We waited about 15-20 minutes for 3 drinks to be made by the manager which is typical in my experience so I was ready for that. What I was not ready for was to wait over 2 hours and STILL not receive food for myself or my children. 2 cold orders of edamame were delivered as appetizers and that was all. We made repeated attempts to ask the waitress where our food was or when it would arrive with not much help. We asked if she could at least just bring the kids rice and she said she would try and never came back. We could tell we were being avoided, as she was swamped and frustrated with her manager who allowed his employee to sink and fail. Table after table were sat after us and all receiving their food, while I made excuses to my family that maybe it was because of the size of the party. When we watched the table of 7 adults behind us all receive their food that was the last straw. We asked for our checks for the drinks and STILL had to wait for someone to help her split off the food we never received. They even had the nerve to ADD gratuity!! Watching the waitress continuously ask him for help while he continued to dismiss her is by far the worst form of “management” I’ve ever seen. After waiting 2 hours, I was forced to pay a tip on a service that was beyond subpar and considering our food never showed up, I at least expected someone from management to at least apologize for us having to go find somewhere to eat on a Saturday night. It’s a shame that good food will always be overshadowed by a lack of management and support staff. Only come here if you have lots of time to waste or if you have a small group, as training on larger parties...
Read moreWe don't usually eat ramen so as newbies we were satisfied with our bowls. The flavor was fine and all of the ingredients seemed fresh. We really enjoyed the bubble teas we got too (Thai, Coffee and Melon).
We also ordered the Bang Bang chicken appetizer (fried chicken with a spicy sauce) which seemed good but a little over cooked to me (it was a brown, thick and very crunchy tempura type of batter), but minus the spicy sauce, my son loved it.
Lastly, we ordered a piece of Tempura battered cheesecake that wasn't actually cheesecake at all. Fried cheesecake happens to be a desert I love and have eaten many times at many different restaurants. The best I've had is cheese cake fried in Tempura batter which is usually made with rice because it's light, white and very crunchy. To me the Tempura Fried Cheesecake here looked and tasted exactly like Funnel Cake (fried dough topped with powered sugar) which was disappointing. Cheesecake is a rich, dense cake made from cream cheese which is sliced, dipped in batter and deep fried. This desert was 100% dough. I asked our server if there was a mistake (maybe he gave us the wrong desert) and he said the one he gave us was the fried cheesecake. So, either they don't know what fried cheesecake is supposed to be or they're just passing Funnel Cake off as fried cheesecake which is not okay in my opinion. If you want to serve Funnel Cake instead of cheesecake, just call it what it is so customers know what to expect. Obviously, we should have tried the rolled ice cream instead!
Additionally, the restaurant was too cold for my son who was uncomfortable, but the server and service were fine. They aren't the fastest place in town, but at least we didn't wait any longer to get our food than other customers in the restaurant.
Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will probably go back for the Bubble tea again and to try the...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences we've had at a restaurant in a while. No one at the front to seat customers. Ordered food for wife and kids and the kids food came out very very spicy. I don't know if it was supposed to be a joke bc we asked them to omit certain things like the fish cake and bean sprouts and they did not omit them - I didn't complain about that but they couldn't eat it bc it was so spicy. Someone had to have added the spice to it bc it was spicier than mine which was the spicy garlic tonkatsu. The kids tried to eat it but couldn't. I had to get up to get the waitress and let her know what the problem was bc she didn't come back to check on us. The kids drank all their water and mine and I had to get up to ask for more. I told the waitress about the spicy soup and she asked if we wanted something else. No apology, nothing. We ordered more food thinking the kids might eat but they were filled with water from attempting to eat their first soup. I finished what I could and we ended up leaving. I felt like this could have been intentional and it makes me angry bc I know there was no other people in the restaurant waiting for their order at that time. It was just us and another lady and her two kids which were finishing up their food. The non spicy soup was spicier than the one that was suppose to be spicy and it was very apparent when ordering that it was for the kids. I had to get up to take my bill to the waitress bc she was mia most of the time. Over all it was a waste of money. Didn't feel welcomed, got our order wrong - made it extra spicy and didn't omit what we asked them to, didn't offer an apology, and didn't really care. That being said him sorry I came here and I won't...
