To anybody wanting to eat here, be warned. What ever you want to order when you come here, bring your own, because if they're out, they'll just give you what you ordered minus the things they're out of, and expect you to pay full price for what you didn't get. I ordered the fried catfish and ended up walking out without even touching the plate. It was brought out to me without eating utensils, and without tartar sauce. I politely asked for utensils and was promptly given them, but when I asked for tartar sauce, I was told they were out. I do not eat fried fish without tartar sauce. That is to me like having coffee straight with no sugar or milk to someone who can't stomach the taste of straight coffee. It's like ordering a latte, getting straight coffee, and when you ask for milk and sugar, you're told "oh we're out" of that. But it's worse than that, because they weren't actually out of tartar sauce, as you'll soon see. Me: My memory is sometimes selective. Is tartar sauce listed on the menu as coming with the fish? Waitress: Yes, it's supposed to come with it but we're out. Me: Did you know that you're out before you let me order it? Waitress: Yes Me: Do you guys have mayo and pickles? Waitress: Yes Me: Then you have tartar sauce, and the prep cooks are just lazy. I'd like to order something else, please. Waitress: *sucks her teeth and walks away* So, to the manager, James. Since you weren't in at t he time this happened, and I happen to have quite a lot of experience as a head chef, I would like to give you this recipe as a parting gift, as I will not be returning. Basic, simple tartar sauce recipe Ingredients: 1 Cup Mayo 2 Tablespoons chopped pickles What ever optional seasonings you'd like. Instructions: Combine in a bowl, cover until served. It's best if the flavors are allowed to soak in overnight, but most people can't tell the difference. Now, some people prefer capers instead of pickles, but the pickle version is the most common in America. If you look at all of the reviews I've left restaurants, they're generally positive if not fair. They're also generally short. This is the first time that I have ever been served an incomplete meal made by lazy cooks and served by rude wait staff. This is the first time I've ever wished I could give fewer than 1 star. The very fact that I feel it's necessary to give such a simple recipe to a restaurant because the cooking staff doesn't even know the basics. It's a mark of shame I have NEVER had the displeasure of giving a restaurant until now. I've provided a screenshot of the menu with a note for any employees who see this review.

We chose Taco Mac Buford on May 22nd after my son’s graduation because it was one of the few places open late — unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst dining experience we've ever had. I called earlier in the evening to confirm they could accommodate our party of 15 and was assured there was no need for a reservation. We arrived around 10:15 PM and were seated promptly, which we appreciated. Our waitress, Briana, was kind and professional throughout the night and truly did her best under difficult circumstances. However, everything went downhill from there. Despite placing our orders early, we didn’t start receiving food until over an hour later — around 11:44 PM — and when it arrived, it was cold. Even worse, the children in our group (three under the age of four) never received their food at all, which should have been prioritized. We flagged this immediately and asked to speak with a manager. The manager, a petite woman with dark hair, briefly came to the table, said she would check with the kitchen and disappeared. During that time, we were left in the dark with no updates while trying to keep hungry, restless children calm. I had to call for the manager again at 12:25 AM, and still, we received no real resolution. All we were told was that they were understaffed and overwhelmed, which we were sympathetic because we have worked in the food industry— but that doesn't excuse serving cold food and completely ignoring part of our order. Ultimately, we left after two hours with nothing but our drinks, still hungry and frustrated. At that time of night, everything else was closed, and what should have been a celebration ended in total disappointment. The most frustrating part was how poorly the situation was handled by management. Briana, our waitress, was left to manage the chaos alone, which was completely unfair to her. We gave her a tip because she was the only one who made an effort — the real issue was poor leadership and preparation by the management team. I would not recommend this location to anyone, especially for large groups or special occasions. Management needs serious improvement in communication, accountability, and customer service. ***I’ve posted a photo showing how the food began to arrive at our table — cold. As you can see, no one is eating. We were still waiting for someone to address the issue, and the rest of our party’s meals never arrived. In the end, we paid for the alcoholic beverages, did not eat, and personally tipped our waitress, who did her best despite the situation.****

I absolutely love this place. Taco Mac has become one of my go-to spots, and I find myself coming here at least two or three times a week with my friends. It’s one of those places that just hits every time — whether you’re in the mood for wings, burgers, tacos, or just want to hang out with a beer and catch a game, it never disappoints. The food is consistently good, especially the wings — hands down some of the best around. I’ve tried a bunch of the sauces, but the Buffalo and Lemon Pepper are always top-tier. Their burgers are solid too, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. I’ve also had their tacos and wraps, and they’re flavorful and filling every time. The vibe is another big reason I keep coming back. It’s laid-back and fun, with plenty of TVs and a good energy, especially on game nights or weekends. The staff is always friendly and makes you feel welcome, even when the place is packed. They handle big groups well too, which is great since I usually come with a couple of friends. They’ve got a strong beer selection and a rewards program that actually makes it worth coming back — which I clearly do already. Whether we’re stopping by for a casual meal, watching a big game, or just wanting somewhere chill to spend a few hours, Taco Mac checks all the boxes. If you’re looking for a reliable spot with good food, good drinks, and a fun atmosphere, Taco Mac is it. I genuinely look forward to coming here every week, and it’s easily become one of my favorite hangout spots

If we could give a zero, we would. Bottom line, if you have a group, move on. They "don't do groups" and they will tell you you are a "major inconvenience ". This is per the general manager, I believe his name is James but I will confirm that and update if necessary. Read on if you dare...

Our group had a standing reserved area every two weeks and had been ongoing for months. There was an arrangement with management and everything was okay with the exception of being a bit slow. Apparently, the management and some staff were all fired at some point and replaced. Our group's arrangement was still honored but the service got continuously worse and worse (not the wait staff, management threw them under the bus to wait on us). They did not staff up for our visits and the wait to order and have food delivered was about 2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. The wait staff of normally one person to 20-40 guests was continuously having to apologize. Every time we participated we never received all of our order. And the last time we went my son was served beef that tasted tainted and actually threw up there.

This time was the worst. They would not seat us in a timely manner, wouldn't take our orders for over an hour. Food was not received in a timely manner even though our server was busting her butt! The staff kept pointing fingers at each other as to who was at fault, no one stepping up taking responsibility and resolve the issues and the manager was the worst! He was rude, ill mannered and extremely unprofessional! There could have been a nicer more professional way to let the group leader know we weren't welcome than "you are a major inconvenience". The lines of communication were open and this could have been addressed during the time of communication. His attitude and behavior was appalling! This man should be fired IMHO. He represents Taco Mac. I can guarantee you we will never patronize any Taco Mac due to him and neither will at least 60 other people that have been going there. But obviously...
