Honestly surprised by the experience. Came in on a Thursday at 1pm and it appears only 2 waitresses and maybe 1 cook was present which should have been my sign things weren’t going to go well.
I place an order for a soup , an appetizer and a small plate and it takes more than 20 minutes for those items to arrive. There’s only 5 other tables other than mine so the excuse of being too busy doesn’t apply.
The food itself is decent but they served us the food with no side plates or extra napkins. Honestly I absolutely hate when restaurants show this type of apathy for their customers. I waited another 20 minutes just for one of the waitresses to finally acknowledge me and take my entree order.
After I ordered (1 chicken dish , 1 beef dish, and 1 fried rice dish) she commented “oh wow that’s too much food”. Excuse me ? At what point did it become acceptable to say these types of things to paying customers ?
Ontop of that all , the “too much food” took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. I’m not exaggerating or embellishing any of the times I’m stating here. Thank GOD I was off today and was able to just be on my laptop while I waited.
The food was okay. But absolutely does not excuse the horrendous service , the wait time, and the poor run of things here. I’m genuinely sick of restaurants using covid or labor shortages as an excuse to be garbage in the service department.
I don’t really care if the owner tries to come up with some pathetic excuse for the sad state of affairs here. I just hope you , whoever is considering to eat here; reads my review and decides to go somewhere else. Saigon cafe or PF changs even will get you a better experience overall then here. Businesses like this don’t deserve to last or stay open when they can’t even practice basic customer service for the people who keep...
Read moreFirst time here and probably my last time. My brothers and I went inside to eat and it was our first time. We all ordered something different to try. I took the first bite of my basil chicken dish and instantly hated it. I asked the waiter if there’s anyway I can change it for something else because I did not like the taste. The waiter told me I still had to pay for it, if not then the waiter has to pay for it. After talking further with the waiter, he stated that the manager leaves the responsibility up to the waiters and if the customer doesn’t like it, they still have to pay for the meal or it’ll come out of the waiters pocket. I felt bad because I do also work in the service industry but having that policy is disgusting. I have been to hundreds of restaurants and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of such policy. I ended up paying for the dish I didn’t even eat, while also sharing my brothers’ food because I didn’t want to pay for another dish. My brothers’ food was good, nothing spectacular. We were never asked if we wanted drinks, they just gave us waters. We didn’t even mention we wanted fountain drinks just because we felt rushed and especially the policy with food, I just wanted to get out of there. I really think the manager should change that policy. It’s not the waiters fault I didn’t like the taste of my food, nor should I be stuck with something that...
Read moreI hate to give anyone such a low rating, but this was a terrible waste of money. We only went because I was craving soup dumplings, and we planned to eat Pho for lunch right after. My sister was a little too hungry to wait, so we decided to order 4 appetizers. The crab rangoon was so sour that we ended up squeezing out the filling and just eating the crispy wonton. The pan fried bao had an unusual pork filling, in my opinion. It was a meat patty that tasted similar to a breakfast sausage, but not in a pleasant way. I ate most of one, and my sister never took a second bite. The scallion pancake didn't taste homemade or even fresh. It was flavorless, a little chewy/ gummy, and saturated in oil. My sister ate one and finished the one I bit. Lastly, the soup dumplings that we came for.... had NO soup in them! A few were already ripped when they came to the table. I grabbed one that was whole, bit it, attempted to drain it into the spoon... and nothing. Not one drop of soup. Same thing with the two my sister ate. I didn't eat mine. They also had an odd flavor. My sister didn't want to offend anyone, so we took it to go and tossed it all at the next restaurant. I've never ordered multiple items at a restaurant without liking ANY of them before this experience, so to have 2 people not enjoy it says enough. I'm glad we didn't plan to...
