About an hour ago, I walked into Jersey Mike’s during what can only be described as a sub sandwich apocalypse. The place was packed, the line was long, and the online orders just kept pouring in. I thought, “This is going to take forever.” But then, like heroes stepping onto the battlefield, the Big Three behind the counter went to work.
These guys weren’t just making sandwiches—they were making history. It all started with the bread-and-meat guy. When I told him my order and asked for rosemary bread, he broke the news that they were out of it. Out of rosemary bread! My favorite! For a split second, I thought, “This is it. Tonight’s a disaster. There’s no coming back from this.” But boy, would I find out just how wrong I was. This guy didn’t flinch. He grabbed that wheat bread like it was the bread of the gods, sliced it with the precision of a Jedi, and stacked the roast beef and provolone with a kind of quiet confidence that immediately calmed my inner panic. I swear, he sliced that roast beef like it was the final scene of an action movie.
Next came the ingredient guy, the artist of the operation. Watching him work was like seeing Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel, except instead of frescoes, it was lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. Every move was deliberate, every topping perfectly placed. He didn’t just add pickles to my sandwich; he blessed it with pickles. I could feel the passion in every sprinkle of oregano. The man was in the zone, like a DJ dropping the perfect track at just the right moment.
And then came the closer—the finisher. This guy didn’t just finish sandwiches; he delivered them like they were works of art. He topped mine with crispy bacon (a power move that I’ll be dreaming about for weeks), wrapped it up so tightly and cleanly it could’ve passed inspection at an Olympic event, and then rang me up with a smile so genuine it felt like he was saying, “We’re all in this together.” He even threw in a cheerful “Have a great night!” as if he hadn’t just battled through sandwich chaos for hours.
Meanwhile, off to the side, I noticed one of their stoner friends hanging out, waiting for the shift to end. This guy was just vibing—completely unfazed by the pandemonium around him. He was the human equivalent of a chill playlist, just waiting for his buddies to finish dominating the sub game so they could hang out. The contrast between his calm energy and the Big Three’s controlled frenzy was chef’s kiss.
Now, let me tell you something about myself: I don’t tip in situations where I’m standing and ordering. I just don’t. I’ve always been a “grab my sandwich and go” kind of person. But tonight? These three legends made me do something I’ve never done before—I tipped 10%. That’s right. I actually hit the little screen and selected the tip option. It wasn’t even a guilt tip; it was an earned tip.
At one point, I saw the bread-and-meat guy glance at the growing line, take a deep breath, and give his team a nod that said, “We’ve got this.” It was a real-life sports movie moment, and I almost teared up. They crushed that rush with the precision of a marching band, the hustle of a championship team, and the energy of kids on Christmas morning.
If you ever get the chance to see these guys in action, don’t walk—run to Jersey Mike’s. It’s not just a sandwich; it’s an experience. Bravo to this unstoppable Big Three, and props to their chill friend for being the ultimate post-shift hype-man. You’ve earned yourselves a lifelong fan and...
Read moreI’ve been to the location about 5 times the first 3 times the tall guy I think is the manager was in a great mood and energetic and you can tell the crew was vibbing off that. The last two time I been there and he wasn’t there the crew has been very rude and seems not happy to be there and I over heard the guy make a comment about us coming in but I over looked it and ordered.this last time no one person greeted us at all they all just stood there whipping down the counters . But the food is still good but they give off a vibe that they don’t want you there. Guess back to happy subs down the road from here on out. I’ll give five stars for the food. But lately the service...
Read moreWe stopped in here initially because others had commented about them having gluten free options. I am thoroughly pleased with my experience. I ordered the recommended hot sandwich and the person taking my order confirmed I had a gluten allergy. They cleaned the grill and made my sandwich separately so there wouldn't be cross contamination. The sandwich was hot, delicious, and the extra care taken to make my sandwich is definitely appreciated. Bravo to this team for asking questions to confirm the gluten free situation and then understanding how to make sure my sandwich was prepared...
