Today was my first time visiting the burbank location and it will definitely be my last. I placed an online order;side salad and a side of quinoa with veggies. I arrived at the location and my order was ready. As I left the location I noticed the quinoa did contain vegetables. I called the store to see if a refund to my sharkys rewards could be made since I had already left the location. When the employee answered the phone I explained the issue and she was like and? So I asked if she could refund the amount for the item. She placed be on hold to inquire then returned and stated that she couldn't issue a refund, but I could either return to the location for the right item or they could take my info down for my next visit. I explained to her that I did not live in the area and asked if someone could just bring the item out to my car because my baby was sleep and already strapped in the carseat along with my toddler(as they all saw when I initially picked up my order) She said she couldn't do that I would have to come into the location. Being Saturday the parking lot was very bust and crowded. So I had to wait for a spot in front of the restaurant and run in to get the item. When I walked in I stated I was there for the quinoa and veggies and they all looked confused. The manager just stood there, so one of the employees stated she would check on it. It wasn't ready and I had to wait for the cook to make it. Meanwhile the manager offered no apology nor did the employee that answered the phone. When the item was done, I was just handed the item with no apology or thanks. So disappointed with their customer service. I love Sharky's, but now I know all the locations and customer service are not the same.
UPDATE: After receiving a message from the manager Chris who provided a quick and efficient response to my experience and offered his apologizes..I have updated this to 5 stars. He provided EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! He truly cares about his customers' experiences and goes above and beyond. I will definitely return to this location when i am in town!!...
Read moreWe absolutely love Sharky's. I'm saying we absolutely love Sharky's because my wife absolutely loves Sharkys and I love whatever she loves. We have very positive memories of this place, not just this particular one, but really any Sharkys we've ever been to. They all seem to be very well managed, and the food has been predictably good. Granted, in the past, in our younger days, we used to order more carb rich food. Burritos and tacos and things like that But now we try to be very careful with carbohydrates, so we certainly have moved to ordering salads and protein. For that, the restaurant really delivers, very large salads with plenty of good protein, not to mention the chips and salsa, and the variety of the salsa buffet that they have.
Also, I like any restaurant that has the self-serve soda fountain. It's nice, because if you're into sodas, you can create fun combinations and enjoy yourself like a little kid. The place is a bit loud, granted, but you can always sit outside if the weather is nice. They have nice big windows and it's easy to sit and have a nice conversation, and lose yourself, enjoying the view through the windows.
As you know, there's no table service at Sharky's, so you can save a bit of money because you don't have to tip as much, we always tip the staff at the checkout counter a little bit, but not as much as the servers.
My wife got the giant tortilla salad that you see in the video, and of course took most of it home. She remarked that probably next time she'll get the tortillas on the side, because they added a lot of carbohydrates to the meal. I ordered the protein bowl, which was also large and very satisfying. It had zero carbohydrates, so I was able to polish off the whole thing.

Read moreNew updated 03/2024 Arrived on a Tuesday around 1pm – it was a bit busy and its must’ve been an off day because the service wasn’t so good, the manager or runner/cashier was too busy that when taking my order, he needed to get food to the counter and forgot what we ordered. The runner was really nice tho! The nachos were meh and their salmon burrito had hardly any fish in it. Brought the bff since he hasn’t been here in years (moved out of town) it was disappointing to say the least.
I’ve been coming to Sharky’s for 15+ years. I use to come weekly because my job was just down the street. It’s been a min since I’ve been back. The smells, the vibe and the memories of good food all came back as soon as I stepped in. I was reminded of my “Fit” days hahhaa. I was in the area and thought I needed a Sharky’s fix.
