My friend ordered some food for us to pick up on our way to our destination. We set up the order from her mobile app, and headed to the restaurant to pick up said order. We parked just outside the restaurant, and followed their instructions to turn on our hazard lights. We then waited - but, even though the order was taking 15+ minutes, said order remained in the "Prepping" stage.
Because that seemed to be a significant amount of time to remain in the same stage, I left the car to enter the restaurant, so that I could get an update on the order.
Upon entering the shop, I saw just two people in the food prep area; I didn't get the impression that it was extremely busy - and, there were no other customers in the shop. I headed to the cash register and waited - this caused one of the persons to call someone from the back area to attend to me.
Upon explaining that we were waiting 15+ minutes for our order (which STILL showed in the mobile app as "Pending"), the worker then checked the orders behind him, and confirmed that our order was ready and waiting.
No one bothered to inform us of this - and, if I hadn't left the car to check, we would still have been waiting for our order.
When the employee noticed from my facial expression that I was upset, he muttered something about not knowing why the automated system didn't inform anyone that the order was completed. I found this excuse rather suspect, as I used to work at one of the other Domino's locations - so I can comfortably say that we NEVER would have operated in that matter. If the automated system was experiencing issues, that would have been quickly handled.
Unsurprisingly, due to the delay, the food was cold. If it weren't for the fact that I had to head out to work, I would have requested to speak with someone.
I am greatly bothered by this restaurant's lack of service, or consideration for their customers' time. I expressed said sentiment to my friend - who responded that the ONLY reason she frequents this branch, is that they are the closest Domino's to her area (because this has an isolated experience with this branch, if there was another location nearby, she would happily do so).
The fact that this company is comfortable with providing this poor service (if they weren't, they would do something to improve their service) should be a cause for concern.
The fact that I am taking this time to write out a long review should indicate that I consider this an...
Read moreMy friends and I were getting together to have a movie night and order some food. I spent $55 on food at 6:24 PM, and it was estimated to arrive at 6:39 PM. It arrived around 8 PM – around an hour and a half after I had placed the order. The pizza was lukewarm, and while it was somewhat decent, because it was on “quality check” for 45 minutes or perhaps longer, I expected the best quality ingredients known to man.
After ordering, and about 30 minutes of waiting for the pizza to arrive, but friends and I thought it was a little bit odd that we hadn’t received it yet. My friend decided to call the number that you provided in order to inquire about our order, and was subsequently stuck in your seemingly endless automated messaging loop for about 15 minutes, despite clicking to transfer the call. In those 15 minutes, we called on another phone and were on hold for nearly as long before we thought someone picked up. Despite hearing someone on the other line, we heard two words from them before mentioning our order number, and never hearing from them again. After being on a silent phone call for another 15 minutes, we decided to drive to your establishment. The entire time that we were driving there (by the way, the restaurant is only 7 minutes away from my home) we kept on the call, and no one ever fully picked up, despite the fact that we could hear background noise. Upon arriving at the establishment, we saw no other customers, and only two workers – while I understand you may be understaffed, at least let me know that my order will be delayed, or pick up the phone.
When my order finally did arrive to my home, the delivery driver was very apologetic, and while I’m aware he probably made a mistake, this does not excuse the service, and especially does not make the matter of the unanswered phone call any better.
While Dominos did reach out to me about the order, they failed to extend me a refund, and only asked me to rate their service, and offered me a deal on my next order. I will likely never be ordering from a Dominos again, nor will my friends. I request a refund...
Read moreMy family and I have been ordering from here, now reluctantly, because it’s the only place that sort of delivers quick. Tonight has made me rethink this choice heading forward from now. My wife orders each of us our own medium pizza, we have started to not tip as generously due to the slacking and subsequent lack of care in order and food quality. I worked for a domino’s in Indiana, a medium pepperoni and mushroom pizza should never look desiccated, no one who cares about quality would have allowed that to go out, and be less than room temperature. The veggie, no spinach, and add chicken was doughy in the center as if it had been pulled out of the oven before it hit the “fully cooked” line on the chain. My son stated his was luke warm and tough to eat. All in all, pick another pizza chain, I get better quality from little Cesar’s hot and ready pizzas. The hilarious part was the driver attempting to gaslight me by saying, “see it’s still hot”, no it wasn’t. The steam happens when you pull the boxes out of the bags, the boxes have a moisture barrier that, if sealed correctly, will keep the steam inside until it’s opened. It’s all show to trick the customer, PH has a video to show you how to close the bags properly to keep the steam in so the customers think their order is still hot, even...
