We loved this place. The service was great. We had the fried chicken and fish and chips. The chicken was crispy and very moist! The fish was melt in your mouth with a panko type breading! For starter we had the popcorn which was buttery but not overly so. We also had the clam chowder which had great flavor. And service was great!

We have been to this restaurant many times and have always enjoyed but Thursday, March 31st, 2022, we were disappointed. When our party of three arrived at around 7:00; it was crowded, which is often the case. After waiting twenty minutes, with no contact from any of the staff, a table for four vacated. We waited for it to be cleaned, but that never happened. Finally we seated ourselves. There was only one waitress so we had to wait for her take our order, but they were out of number of items on their limited menu. (Had to remind that the table needed to be wiped down). Ordered drinks at the time we placed our food order. By the time our food arrived, we had finished our drinks and ordered another round. Unfortunately, our second round of drinks, didn’t arrive until we were finished with our meal.

Normally, we won’t complain as the waitress was extremely overworked and doing her best but we couldn’t help but notice that there were several other male staff (owners?) having a great time laughing and visiting while seated with patrons especially those two ladies seated by the door and the group at the corner table. Looked like those two tables were getting a lot of attention at the expense of the rest of...

The food was good. The service fine. But when we paid ( in cash) we got involved with what I'd call either a) a total shell game or b) the incompetence of under 30 year olds being able to count actual money. Our bill was $62 and change. We gave our waitress $80. We had nothing but 20's and a few ones. We asked for 5 back, giving her around a 13 dollar tip. She came back to us with $65 plus 5. That's 70. She told us we had given her 70 and the bartender gave her 2 5's for a ten. We had NO 10's! To sum up, which she and the bartender apparently could or couldn't do well, depending on your take on this ebent she wound up getting 90 dollars from us. For what should have been 75. She also wound up losing us as future customers as well as the positive word of mouth we WERE going to spread. Lesson learned. Pay by credit card. At a different restaurant. NOT Sidestreet. It's unfortunate, because up till that point We had had a pleasant time. Oh. March 22nd 2019. When you find an extra 15 bucks in the...

This is a hidden gem. It looks like a bar and is loud like a bar, but the food is from heaven. When we walked we were shocked at how small the place was there was something about the friendly the atmosphere that just felt right. The waitress was very friendly also and was very helpful. The menu is small but the choices are interesting. We started with a grilled broccoli that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My wife had the pan fried Alaskan Cod, which was cooked to perfection. I decided to try the 20 oz prime rib, also cooked perfectly rare. Both dishes had great potatoes, mine was a baked with everything and my wife's were a very fluffy mashed. A glass of Cabernet that went with the meat wonderfully topped of the meal. Then we split a amazingly decadent chocolate lava cake for desert. The price was about $80, but we'll worth it. We weren't rushed and met people on both sides who were very interesting. This place is definitely a keeper. We'll be...
