Never would I of thought I would be giving Antonios a bad review but, after my experience tonight I am so irritated that I felt it was a must!! My family and I have been coming to eat at Antonios since it's been in Burleson, we're loyals and love it. A normal night I called to place a pick up order for some chips, queso, salsa, and rice. The girl who answered my call immediately sounded annoyed to even be working. No "Thank you for calling Antonios, how can I help you" etc. When I placed the order I questioned what sizes and difference there were, her response "We have small or large, what do you want?". I've been in the service industry, i get having a bad day so I let it go. When she tells me my total, I thought it was a little high and wanted to confirm that for that price I was going to get a good size bag of chips. Her response "you don't get any because you didnt order a meal" I did just place a order for chips and salsa. Her response to me questioning that " well you ordered a large so a large..."her tone was that of idiocy. That was the final straw. I asked to speak to a manager and he barely seemed concerned with how his employee just treated a customer. Training is used for instances exactly like this and I hope they invest in it! I go in to pick up the order and even worse they never placed my order from 20 minutes ago!! When they got the same manager he cowardly hid in the kitchen avoiding to even come say sorry for the inconvenience I just experienced. I remember when he was a server, did a much better job at that than his manager position. On top of that the girl who took my order didn't even apologize but smirked and rolled her eyes at me just topped the whole experience off. Adolescent immaturity!! Antonios, before expansion, always had great service to accompany the food and atmosphere. I've been in the service industry for 10 yrs now and with the standard of restaurant Antonios seems to put on it's a disappointment that they find this kind of service to be acceptable. Ironic is that my mother's 50th birthday is next week and I had planned to call Antonios this exact week to cater the party. I think we may be rethinking this decision.
Very upset and disappointed tonight with one of my favorite restaurants. Food has always been great but beware for the lacking service, may not be...
Read moreWent for an after church meal. I had heard really good things about this place so I suggested to go here. The first 10 minutes were good. The decor is pretty, nice little place. Sat down, got some chips and salsa and our drink order taken.
When it came time for our meal order, I asked if I could just get a bean burrito. It wasn’t on the menu but it’s not like beans, cheese and a tortilla is some extravagant dish. I was told “we will see what we can do, special orders take a while.” FOR A BEAN BURRITO????
My mom asked for sour cream and guacamole but no jalapeños with the nachos. most places I know put a little dollop of sour cream and guac on the plate. When we got our ticket, we were charged about $3 for each side of guacamole and sour cream. $6 for you to scoop something in a bowl and serve it? crazy.
Not only that, our waiter came to our table 3 times, and the last time was to put the check on the table and run away. I never got a single refill on my drink, neither did anyone else. He went to EVERY table around us, except ours for the remaining 40 minutes we were there. He and I made eye contact a few times, my empty glass sitting right next to me. Never once came by.
We get to checkout. The manager talks with my mom and pretty much tells her “that’s not how we do things here.” when she brought up that she had never been there, she didn’t know it was going to be extra for sour cream and guac and asked if it could be taken off. Pretty much blown off. He took one of the sides off to make her happy but really felt like more of a slap in the face.
I will NOT be returning. I won’t be recommending this place either. I’ll take my business to Miranda’s...
Read moreI’ve in the area for 3 years. I keep seeing this restaurant pop up when we look for new restaurants to try near us. Tonight we decided to go. They sat us down and it wasn’t too busy, music is very low so it’s great to make conversation. When you are seated, they bring chips and salsa and your drinks quickly. The chips are great, not overly salty and don’t brake off. Salsa on the other hand…..let’s just say that pace has better flavor and that’s unfortunate to experience at a restaurant.
The staff are extremely friendly and so, so helpful from the time you walk in, to the time you walk out to pay up at the front. Anyway, back to the food. Our orders came to our table and my fiancé got the chimichanga which looked delicious! He said it was great also. Kids ordered chicken tenders and fries which are just the frozen kind you’d expect to find but they’re toddlers and ate them.
The reason for the three stars is for my food. I paid $16 for a plate of food and I could only eat half. It was bland. The plate I ordered was Steak Guisado and there’s no way the salsa they used is made fresh in restaurant. Just tasted like they poured the salsa they bring with the chips and salsa and sautéed some veggies and called it a day. The meat…. I could just imagine what Gordon Ramsay would think just by looking at it. Paper thin and it took me forever to chew. It was hard to bite despite the fact that it was paper thin. It’s as if they scraped it off the walls of a deep freezer. I didn’t dare eat the veggies after one bite. Beans and rice are bland but went the worst.
This is a place you come to order either a chimichanga or nachos, but not...
