The Lumber Yard Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Burleson

I was sad to see the pizza place go, but once I saw what they turned it into, I was very pleased. They added garage doors to the building to open it up A WHOLE LOT during good weather days. They restructured the outdoor seating for a better feel. The wood “structures” (for lack of a better word) made this have a feel that ties it in with the rest of old town Burleson. It feels like it belongs in the constantly growing area of Burleson.

The fare is the standard bar food, but some cool hybrids that you would never think of. I had a Reuben egg roll. That’s a new sentence. I liked it, but it should have had more of a pungent sauerkraut flavor for me. My friend I went with had one of their nacho plates, and it looked pretty stacked. They had a good drink selection overall, and I wasn’t blown away by the prices. The server that I had was one of those waitresses that you always hope to get when you go to this type of establishment. Cute, fun, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Extremely poor service! I got there about 10 after 5 for dinner. My husband had already placed our drink, orders and appetizers. We never saw our waitress again around 545 a gentleman came over and said they had shift changed at 5 o’clock and that’s why we hadn’t seen anyone. Apparently, she took our order and then left. By 6 o’clock we still had not received our meals. We told them to go ahead and void them off our check we would pay for our appetizers and our drinks and leave. They only voided one dinner off and argued that they avoided the other when they had not. We just paid for it and we will not return. When I called back later to speak to the manager or the general manager, the gentleman who finished waiting on us, answered the phone and refused to get anyone to the phone. He said he could take care of anything and I did not need to speak to anyone when I asked him who who was the owner was he told me that that was none of my business. Worst customer...

The first time we came here it was great, cold mugs and food was delicious. Second time we waited for 32 minutes for beer that we ordered using the QR code (which you have to pay then or open a tab) because the wait staff only went to the tables with their friends there. Our appetizer came well before the drinks, and after asking the staff who brought it if we could get water and asking if the order went through for our beer, they went to check and never came back. After waiting 20 more minutes and still not getting water, I went to the bar myself to ask and then she turned around saying “I’m getting it now” and the beer was served to us in plastic cups. It was 90 degrees outside. Some tables had mugs so if it’s a schooner quantity issue that should seriously be fixed because I think going out for a drink and paying bar price, that warrants an actual glass.
