Some people are saying that the poking straw method is susceptible to spills, that the drinks are too syrupy, and the tapioca pearls are too hard. I have an answer to all three of these things as a frequent customer who has waited to give a review!!
The poke straw method is definitely a little jarring, but it isnât hard to avoid spills if you cleanly poke down and do not slam your straw into the drink at mach 10 speeds. Still even then once in awhile it might have a drop or 2 come out so I think it wouldnât be a bad idea to change this in the future!!
The drinks are definitely syrupy but this is also a style of business. Iâve been to many boba places and it kind of depends on their style of making drinks. Some boba places have light tasting drinks while some like to advertise much sweeter ones. This one is on the sweeter side, and thatâs a preference in my opinion. Mixing the drinks with syrup helps tremendously!
The tapioca pearls are indeed sometimes chewy, and sometimes not. But contrary to a few of these reviews, Iâve never gotten VERY chewy boba pearls that were almost hard.
Lastly, the food I will admit is a little bland and a couple of the desserts seem a bit cheap. But most of them are decent and a nice add on! Good staff, atmosphere nice and...
Read moreI met up with a friend here per their suggestion. The Café was cute. The aesthetic was giving Texas with the cactus, but I realize it's because it originated from Texas? Unsure, but loved the variety of seating. There's a variety of boba options too.
I ordered the Peach Jasmine Macchiato Tea and 3 macarons (Blueberry, Chocolate, & Lemon). The tea has a choice between a cream cheese or salty milk cap topping. I don't usually like that, but I opted for the cream cheese suggestion and it paired well with the drink. The caffeine from the tea helped me wake up too at 6 in the evening.
Macarons were 3 for $7. There are other pastry options. I think there are snacks options, but when I visited it was unavailable.
A little later, I decided to order the Tropical Peach Mango Yogurt (in a jar bc I saw a sign saying the jar is free). I'm biased because I love mango, so of course I thought it was delicious.
Note: There is a credit card fee of 38 cents.
There is only one restroom.
They have small...
Read moreAs a customer, I had a mixed experience during my visit. While I appreciated the efficiency of service and the quality of the coffee, there were a few issues that detracted from my overall satisfaction. The limited traditional seating options would make it difficult to find a comfortable spot to enjoy a treat with a group. Additionally, the cup for hot coffee wasn't ideal and made it difficult to hold.
The biggest issue, however, was with the coffee lids. They didn't seem to fit securely on the cups and I had a few spills during my walk to the car. Despite these issues, the staff seem friendly and accommodating, and my order was taken promptly upon arrival.
Overall, I think it has potential, but there are areas that need improvement. I will give them time to work on their processes and products, and I look forward to seeing how they evolve...
