McDonald's — Restaurant in Burlington

I am writing to express my concern regarding two separate negative experiences at this establishment, both involving unprofessional conduct by staff members.

I have both purchased food for myself and picked up orders for DoorDash at this location. Unfortunately, I have now encountered disrespectful behavior on two occasions.

First Incident: During a prior visit to pick up a DoorDash order, I waited at the counter while employees were in the background laughing and joking rather than attending to customers. One employee loudly exclaimed, “There’s a white dude here!” I politely corrected the employee, informing them that their comment was inappropriate and that I am not white. The employee then mocked me further by repeating my words to others in a condescending tone. I briefly addressed the situation with someone who appeared to be a corporate representative as I left.

Second Incident (May 6, 2025, approx. 7:55 PM): While picking up another DoorDash order, I once again observed staff members laughing and socializing rather than preparing visible pending orders. I called out to the back, asking if the order was ready. In response, a female employee shouted something in a mocking tone, although I could not clearly hear her exact words. I informed her that mocking customers is unprofessional. A woman whom I assumed to be the manager then approached. She was a white woman, likely in her mid-40s to early 50s, with a visible neck tattoo and heavy makeup. I explained this was the second instance of disrespectful behavior, including being referred to as “white boy” previously and the current mocking. Her response was, “I don’t care what you don’t like,” before stating the order would be started soon. As I exited the store, I heard her gleefully informing employees that I was leaving.

Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location. While the employees may not care, I believe McDonald’s as a brand—and the franchise owner—should. Given the rising cost of food, customers deserve a basic level of professionalism and respect. I can spend the same amount at a more upscale restaurant and receive a far...

I came through the drive thru and used my rewards for a free mc chicken sandwich along with a kids meal and a McDouble and two apple pies. Upon receiving my order, the apples pies had expired at 7:09. My bun on the McDouble was mushy and bent up along with the meat at one end. The mc chicken was a spicy one and I cant eat spicy food at all which is why I asked for regular one. I went inside to see if I could get fresh food and to get the order corrected. I was told the mc chicken I had was in fact regular, and I knew it wasn't because I bit into it. It was spicy. Also I showed the pies and the texture of my mcdouble sandwich and that it wasn't fresh. She said they would fix it, okay that worked but then some guy working there who continuously was going outside and coming back without washing his hands went to go box these Apple pies. He is telling the lady that my pies actually werent Expired at all. I became upset and I told her the time they expired and that I did not appreciate his attitude and comment as he was being disrespectful. I will not be eating any of this after how the staff treated me. I am very unhappy with my experience and will be contacting the district...

So I have been going to this McDonald's for awhile . During the pandemic it was like everything else understaffed and poor service. Finally this year it started to turn around. The food was well cooked, customer service was sweet and it made me want to spend my money. Prices have gone up and usually I spend about 27.00 on average for 3 people. Yesterday I went thru the drive thru no other cars in line ,took my order, and then had to wait about 15 min in the reserved spot ....no big deal. I didn't think twice about checking inside the containers as they have had good service 🤔 🙄 well that ended yesterday. ABSOLUTELY GROSS ,LIMP ,RAW CHICKEN NUGGETS GREASE AND DISGUSTING LOOKING PILE OF 😑 MESS IS WHAT I WAS GIVEN. WHOEVER DECIDED THAT THEY DID NOT LIKE THEIR JOB ! KNOWINGLY PILED UP A MESS OF RAW CHICKEN NUGGETS . MY LIL TODDLERS NUGGETS, AND I ALMOST ALLOWED HIM TO EAT ONE. ☆☆☆☆☆SALMONELLA RIDDEN FOOD ,NO THANKS I RETURNED AND GOT MY REFUND, BUT I DO NOT THINK ILL BE BACK...
