I work at a physical therapy clinic just a few minutes away from your Burnsville, MN location. I didn’t have breakfast this morning because my dog was sick, so during my 30-minute break, I decided to drive over to Panda Express to grab a quick lunch and make my day a little better.
When I pulled into the drive-thru, I asked for fried rice as my side, but they told me they were out. I was fine with substituting chow mein instead. For my entrees, I ordered double teriyaki chicken, but they told me they didn’t have it and that there would be a 7-minute wait. I asked to switch to Black Angus Steak instead, but they were out of that too. Then, I asked for honey walnut shrimp—also unavailable. I finally settled for orange chicken, which they did have.
After waiting a few minutes in the drive-thru, I realized I was running short on time, so I backed up to the window to see if I could change my order since I was waiting anyway. The employee initially said yes but then refused and said my food would be ready soon. I asked if I could just come inside to pick it up to save time, and she said I could.
Once I went inside, I stood at the pickup area for another 5 minutes, waiting for someone to acknowledge me, but no one did. The pickup area was completely empty. At that point, I overheard someone say that the teriyaki chicken was ready. Since I’d already waited this long, I would’ve appreciated the chance to adjust my order.
Frustrated, I returned to my car and got back in the drive-thru line, which still hadn’t moved because other people were also waiting on unavailable items. After another 5 minutes, I called the store to ask if I could modify my order since my original entrees were now available. The person who answered the phone was rude and unprofessional, telling me to just wait because my food was "almost ready."
I explained that I had intentionally ordered items they said were ready to avoid waiting, but the response was dismissive. After waiting another 5 minutes, I called again. This time, the same person told me I should just cancel my order. When I mentioned that I’d be filing a complaint, they sarcastically told me to “have a good day” and confirmed my order was canceled.
I ended up having to go back to work hungry and work until 5:00 PM without eating anything. This whole experience was incredibly disappointing and felt disrespectful. I’ve never had this type of experience at Panda Express before, and I’ve always appreciated the food and service. It’s frustrating to feel dismissed, especially when no effort was made to show any understanding or attempt to provide a solution.
I hope there’s a way to improve the process at this location because, as a long-time customer, this experience has really left me questioning whether I’ll come back to this location...
Read moreI was excited to try the new Panda Express in Burnsville that just opened several months ago. To my shock, this place is an absolute nightmare from a food safety perspective. The cooks and server employees are not wearing any gloves. The person serving up my food is literally breathing and speaking all over the food as she holds my to go container near her face. No one is wearing any hair nets. The employees are handling food right after they handle money without washing there hands. The employee also bends over and speaks right over all of the food in the front hot rail station. I attempted to let the manager know and she just looked at me like a deer in a head light.
I mean really when I'm standing right in front of you. You're literally going to breath, talk, and spit over the food that I am about to consume and the food that future customers are going to consume. After letting the manager know I decided to leave. It's clear that food safety is not a priority for this location and I will not be back.
Lastly when you look at the menu up top, it describes the pricing as any normal fast food chain would have. But what they don't tell you is that certain entree items are actually a $1.50 more if you choose those entrees. They intentionally leave the nor mal entree items empty or with a limited selection in order to force you to get the more expensive entree items. This food is way over priced and is not authentic Asian Cuisine. For six (6) small shrimp they are trying to charge you a ridiculous price.
The lack of food safety and common sense in the employees at this location is scary. I would strongly caution anyone from eating here until they can revamp the food safety and hire some decent staff. My opinion is to go to a real Chinese food restaurant and avoid this...
Read moreMy wife and I recently chose to dine at a local restaurant for an early dinner, specifically at the Panda Express located in Burnsville off Highway 42. To my surprise, we were warmly welcomed by the entire staff, reminiscent of the camaraderie found in the television show "Cheers," as soon as we entered. I ordered the super greens accompanied by honey walnut shrimp and black pepper sirloin steak. The meal was served hot, flavorful, and quite satisfying. Although I also ordered a couple of apple pie rolls, I found myself too full to enjoy them at the time, so I decided to save them for later. The dragon fruit mango black tea was delightful and available for unlimited refills at the soda fountain. Katherin, one of the staff members, was particularly impressive, making rounds to inquire if we needed any condiments, sauces, or fortune cookies. While she was not directly serving us, her attentiveness was greatly appreciated, and I was genuinely impressed by her willingness to go above and beyond. A heartfelt thank you to Panda Express for providing such a remarkable dining experience. I hope that other locations can emulate this level of enthusiasm and service. Special thanks to manager Jesse for facilitating this wonderful outing. I look forward to returning, and I encourage others to do the...
