We love Panera even though they often get our order wrong. The atmosphere and food are mainly what bring us back. Plus the people are almost always friendly which seems to be a hallmark of their brand.
The problems:
They make a mistake on many of our orders. Usually small issues and we're used to it now but it can get frustrating to keep repeating the same problems.
In the summer they have the A/C on way too cold. And I like cold air but Panera is too cold even for me. I understand it's hard for employees to judge because they are working so the cool temp. probably feels right to them. But they should have a set standard for the temp. and monitor it.
The coffee tanks have times on them and I believe they say something about coffee not being more than 45 minutes old. But almost every time we go there it's been an hours (or more) since they coffee was changed. This tells me the coffee is not getting the attention promised. This sends a poor quality message to customers.
When they get near closing they often run the iced tea machine down to the bottom without checking it. But they will sell you iced tea up until closing. So as a customer I not only have to buy my iced tea, I often have to ask them to make it. Not exactly the experience I am looking for.
Last Sunday we stopped by at 7:28 pm planning to get our food to go. But they had a sign outside saying they were closed an hour early for some company event.I understand you don't want to keep your employees around longer than necessary on a Sunday night. But you need to be open during your posted hours. When a customer shows up during your regular hours and you are closed for a company meeting, we wonder how often this will happen in the future.
This last one is not the fault of any one store, as it pertains to the company website. I have never found the store's hours on the company website. And there is no search feature so I can't search for it. I have to go to Yelp or some other business directory site to get basic information about the stores.
These comments are not to slam Panera or even to indicate I dislike the brand. Au contraire, it's a wonderful concept and an appealing brand. But the execution is weak in some areas. So I hope someone from Panera actually reads this feedback and does something with it. I am glad Panera is part of our community. They just need to step up their...
Read moreLove panera but this location can't get it together. STAY AWAY from this one!!!!!!!! Last night I ordered 3 soups (for pick, FOR 3 people, had two baguettes in the bag and no butter. If I pay $22 plus $2 tip FOR SOUP I want all I paid for 😤😡) also was annoyed (mind you, im recovery from surgery and picked panera bc I thought it'd be fast and easy) my bag never got to the pick up area shelves, so after 7 mins of waiting, asked the back counter and she laughs and says "oh yeah, here's its been ready" So im alittle annoyed bc its the buzzer prep area and expected it be put aside or at least the top closed if it was ready..or you know...put in the correct spot. Just not what I needed, something happens every time I order from this location and I'm over it. About 2 months ago, decided to try one of the power bowls or whatever they're called, with broccoli and a protein. Literally looked like got some ones half eaten leftovers. It's just a bowl to go container (normal) but it wasn't even half full!!! Again paid like $15 bucks plus tip. Just not worth it at all!! Stay away from...
Read moreHorrible experience today (Memorial Day of all days). An employee and a customer both were incessantly making fun of my grieving family for using the ordering tablet. I’m not going to go into what my family is experiencing right now, suffice it to say I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy what we are experiencing. Doing the dishes is an emotional experience for us right now. The two women continued to make snarky remarks about us, right in front of us as if they were completely justified in poking fun at a ‘millennial’.
You. Never. Know. What. Struggle. Or. Pain. Anyone. Is. Going. Through. At. Any. Given. Moment.
I’m walking out of this experience having to wince at more salt an an already open an raw wound for us.
So thank you for not practicing the mantras of kindness and inclusiveness that Panera seems to tout as a Pilar in their business mode. We really...
