Awful awful awful service... if I could give 0 stars I would. We go there waited 15 minutes to get seated... waited 25 minutes to get our order taken... kinda slow. Then after we order an hour goes by and no one comes by to fill our drinks or with our food... so finally our waitress is seating another couple and we ask her how much longer and she says she doesn't know. Leaves and never comes back.. I asked another waitress what the issue was and she said it was a 45 minute Wait for food. The problem was we ordered 1hr 15 minutes ago. I waited another 15 minutes and finally went looking for a manager or at least my waitress. I let our waitress know that we could no longer wait for the food. My family was starving and pushing the 2hr mark of waiting. The waitress Tina then yells at me that they are busy and every table is full. The customer behind me that was also trying to walk out for the wait says "actually you only have half the tables full." She then storms off. I ask to speak to the manager and the waitress goes to get him and he says he is to busy to come talk to me and the other gentlemen that wanted to speak to him. So bad service, long wait, rude waitress'tina', and no food. You can probably read this and figure out that there are better places to eat but what I can't tell you is of there is better food out there in Butte. Mainly because we never received it. The only thing I can say is it might be a long wait so you might want to eat a snack or a meal before you go...
Read moreWe were in Butte and decided to give Sparky's Garage a try since it was nearby. The best part of the experience was definitely the ambiance. The space is mainly wooden with lots of metal. Signs, lampshades, and even an old car. There are a lot of interesting objects to look at and keep your attention. Unfortunately, the lampshade at our booth was right at eye level so that the light was shining right in our eyes. Similar lampshades at other tables were raised several feet and that would have been better. There is also a screened in area with an amazing view of the mountains. I'd probably choose to sit there if I went back.
Service was pretty good. We were seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and quick to take our order. The food itself took quite a while to arrive but they were fairly busy.
The food was disappointing. I ordered the Smokehouse Philly with fries. I asked our waitress if the fries were crispy, and she said they could do that. When they arrived, they were the opposite of crispy. Soggy. So that was disappointing. I liked the Philly but I was not a fan of the au jus. The menu had mentioned it was a bbq au jus and it definitely was. I found the bbq to be cloying and would have preferred plain au jus. If I'm in Butte again, I will try...
Read moreAtmosphere-5 star. Service-5 star or more. Parking-5 star. Price-3.5 stars. Food-1 star. The most important thing in the restaurant is the food and we found Sparky's to be lacking. Paying $12 for six won-tons is ridiculous. The classic chicken sandwich did not come with pickles or onions for a topping. Coleslaw was literally nothing more than a dish full of some sweetish/white/mayo-ish type sauce with a few shreds of cabbage in it, totally inedible as a standalone side dish so I used it as a sauce for the classic chicken sandwich. Sweet potato fries were a lukewarm pile of mush, just gross. Fix the food and I would come back here again and again. Updated review: 8/13/22 Visited again. Fairly long wait for service. When we finally got a waitress she explained the delay "nobody told me I've been assigned to this table." Not once did the waitress ever see if we needed refills. Just curious but has anybody else ever been served an appetizer of fried pickles and the pickles were spears and not chips? That was odd. Food was still meh. Fries were not good, just greasy tasting and no consistency on the cooking. $80 for a lunch for four just seems too expensive for the quality of...
