We were placed in the side room as our party was rather large, and the room wasn't nearly as homey as the rest of the restaurant, and when we tried to open the wooden shutters in the room to look out, someone quickly came by and closed them again. Our server was wonderful, but she clearly had way too many tables to deal with as one person, hence the 3 stars for service. We had to remind her multiple times what we ordered, or a drink she'd forgotten. On top of all of this, my chicken enchiladas didn't arrive until way after everyone else's and it came with the wrong tortilla (I ordered flour and received corn) seeing as I'm not allergic and we had plans later I still ate it and found it to be not overly hot despite our waitress telling us at the end of our stay that my food had been forgotten and had to be made fresh when everyone else's went out. My spouse ordered a fish taco and it arrived with nothing on the tortilla besides a very small price of breaded fish that was about 1/3 to half the size of the tortilla, meaning most of the bites they took out of the taco didn't even have fish. The menu claims it was supposed to come with pico de gallo and we only received any upon asking our server more than once. It also arrived with rice and beans despite the menu not mentioning that it would anywhere (we checked as everything else said rice and beans). On top of all of this, is spent the next day battling food borne illness, likely from this establishment based on the handling of my meal in particular, and the fact that nothing I ate after that could have led to food borne illness. No one else got sick, and everyone else's meal seemed relatively fine or good. Our server comped mine and my spouses meals as they had turned out so terrible. As I said before she was very nice, but seemed horribly over worked. At least I didn't have to pay for the food that likely...
Read moreWARNING!!! This place will scam you with a parking ticket of $150!!! Even if you are planning on eating here!!! Others who left reviews had the exact experience even though they ate here!!!
We parked in their lot, walked down the street for 5 minutes and came back to eat here. We where getting ready to go inside when I noticed the boot on my tire. When I walked over to my car to check it out, a guy came out of the shadows telling me it was $150 to release the boot. I told him we are going to eat here. He said it was too late. After that, the last thing we where going to do was pay another $50 to eat at a place that clearly doesn’t care about the people who want to support their business. We’ll never be back and have warned our friends.
I’ve seen on other reviews the owners replies that they hired the parking enforcement out to another company and to just tell the employees in the restaurant the situation and they might be able to help. Reality is, they employed the parking enforcement company and are responsible for their actions. The parking enforcement employees actions are a reflection on the restaurant whether they like it or not. They can always get another parking enforcement company who will work with people who are actually going to eat here. Hope this review helps others before they fall victim to...
Read moreThis is my third time in this establishment, and I would like to give my unbiased and honest opinion. Every time I have came in here, I have received some weird vibe. Today it was a white man that said “look, a pilgrim!”as I was walking in. I am Hispanic and Native American, but it is out of pocket for that type of behavior to be condoned in an establishment. As a bartender in many cities (Phoenix, Los Angeles, Portland, Beverly Hills), one thing this place is lacking is the ability to read the room.
While we were sitting at our table, a table of two other colored men (one with long hair also) shouted to the bartender, “you have people over here”. I told them: go somewhere else, I initially ordered food but the vibe has NEVER been right here and save yourself the disappointment.
Meanwhile, alllllll the White people in the establishment were well taken care of. Quite paradoxical in a “Mexican Restaurant” to feel like our table, and the table I told to leave, were discriminated against.
Word to the owner: this happened at 5:45 pm Oct 14th, 2023. Put your staff in...
