My husband and I were out running errands and we needed to take a break for food. He chose pizza and we started looking up different places. He showed me this place and just looking at the menu my mouth started watering. He is picky when it comes to trying new things so instead of just a pepperoni I recommended the Everst...meat and cheese. Neither of us had been there before and parking is definitely tight down there in a dead end street but we were lucky. The people were nice but one who served the majority of the time just seemed sad. But I've been there done that. No hate towards her. He got a medium of the Everest and he enjoyed it. It actually lasted him a couple days, which is the beauty of pizza. I had a "indee"/personal size of Pandoras Box I believe. It was good but it seemed like the top was a little burnt (the basil and artichoke hearts were a little black. It was hard to find the sun dried tomatoes, which I was lòking forward to. I enjoy a well done crust/bottom. So it was like the top was well done but the bottom needed a little more time. It was fully cooked, it was just off a little. But I worked 5 years at a pizza place so maybe I'm picky too. I will say this. I also ordered an "entree sized" Ceaser salad with chicken. And eating that, I would've died happy. The Ceaser dressing is made in house by the chef and I made sure they let him know that he should bottle and sell it. I've been looking for a good ceaser dressing and this one had me amazed and asking for more. Also, the lettuce was not only clean but crisp and dry!! They put a good amount of croutons and freshly shaved cheese. And the chicken looked and tasted fresh and wasn't dry. Best salad ever. Loved how they kept the "toppings and dressing" of the salad in separate piles on top so I could eat and mix as I went and still take it home with it being edible hours later. Small place inside so if you're looking to dine in, wait until after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush. Definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst visit was a 5, second visit a 2, yesterday, a 2. Averaging to 3, because you canāt fault the pizza! I completely understand this being a family-owned business, however, I'm breaking it down as reviews are for consumers, not owner's egos.
When the pizza is right, itās awesome. The BEST even! That was our first experience with three large take and bake pizzas. We could not wait to go back. Best pizza! YAY!
Second experience with take and bake⦠I ordered online, husband picked it up. It was missing half of the toppings for a āGourmet Signature.ā It was fine, but much overpriced for what we received, which basically ended up being a cheese pizza. We called and were told we should have checked before leaving, but my husband didnāt know. Missing toppings and lacking customer care, bummer.
Third timeās the charm, right? We want to give them another chance, the first time was SO good! No more take and bake, and unable to order online. Ok, this should work out, thereās no way theyāll mess up this time, right? The pizza was made correctly, but again, lack of care. Was supposed to be ready for pick-up in 20 minutes. Awesome! Order was in at 5:52 according to the ticket. Husband arrives at 6:15. Order for [name]. Nope, no pizza. 20 minutes go by, checking on his order again, nope, not in yet. 6:55, counter asks what he ordered, so he tells them. āOh, thatās why you didnāt get your pizza yet, someone put your name in wrong. Sorry about that.ā ā So, $40+ for cold pizza.
Heck, we'll probably go back, I'm already...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in for the first time, placed a carryout order. I was given a buzzer to alert me when the pizza was done. Ordered 2 large pizzas and breadstick things. Waited for about 45 minutes and went inside to see what the holdup was, found that my order had been done for 20 minutes, so the buzzer didn't work. OK, stuff happens. Got the stuff (2 large boxes and a smaller one) and took it home. Open the boxes, there's 1 large pizza and 2 boxes of breadsticks. Suboptimal. Call the place 3 or 4 times, phone just rings and rings, no answer, no message service. Go back to the place and explain what happened, they were super friendly and get right on fixing the mistake. (Apparently a problem with the phone system as nobody heard the phone ring while we were gone) Decide to order some wings while we're waiting, manager/owner says cool, don't worry about it I'll comp your order. Awesome, fix the order and free wings right? Nope - this guy comped my Whole order pizzas and wings! Hands down best customer service I've had in a long time, not just for the compensation, but the quick response and genuineness of the whole staff and the effort put in to get us out with the corrected order. All the food was great, a little more expensive than what you would generally spend at a chain pizza shop, but that should be expected for a higher quality product. I'll definitely be back, hopefully without the same hiccups as the...
