Del Taco — Restaurant in California

The cashier was very rude in informing us that he couldn't offer us a deal listed on the menu. They were screaming at my husband letting him know our order was ready by repeatedly saying "hey you your order is ready" even though they took his name. Mind you we have a two year old who was struggling and my husband was working with him for a moment. We asked if we could have something to wipe down a table as they were all dirty, they had not given us any napkins, and we were rudely told that they would get it in a moment. They came and wiped every other table down except the table we had asked for. My sons quesadilla had two slices of solely tortilla with no cheese and there was barely any cheese on the other. They messed up the order as well. Overall, we have decided we will not be going back to this one as this experience was the worst we have ever had from any Del taco and we frequent them pretty often as the family likes taco tuesday. We just left this place that we have driven through for years. Let me tell you we will not be doing that again. We had decided to eat in after a long day and wanted to use the restroom, and stretch. Well, that was a big mistake. They were filthy, beyond that if, I am telling the truth.

Here is the first mistake we made, we ordered before taking turns, using the restroom. After a few minutes more of waiting, I had it. I was hangry. No, breakfast or lunch so, we were ready to eat. Nineteen minutes in, I go up and finally, say we want a refund, minus our ice tea. He pushes all these buttons, and hands over a twenty.

When I get to my husband, and we are getting in the car he is shaking his head. I ask why, he says he shortchanged you. I asked if he wants me to go talk to him. He said, no it's not worth it. The man seemed to be the manager. By the way, it was only him, and an elderly woman working on a Saturday, off the 5 Fwy., and short-staffed. Crazy.

I stopped by this place almost every Tues/ Thu night for Taco night specials the last few yrs. It has a banner new ownership. The owner removed Tue/ Thu Taco specials to fool folks who dont know about these specials. They still honor those specials being part of Del Taco franchise. I saw nothing changed in food quality like other posters here. However, I will NEVER come here again. For the 1st time last Tue, the lady cashier honored my $1 off survey coupon but the owner happened to walk by & told me the $1 off is not honored & cannot be used with Tue night special. I was STUNNED because every location has honored it. The only requirement is to spend $3 or more which I complied. There was NOTHING on the survey requirement that said cannot be combined with other coupon/ special. NOTHING. Ohh well, for just lousy $1, the owner LOST me forever equating to hundreds of annual revenue. I will just go to the one on Lyons which always honored along with every location except for this cheap-gate...
