Had the absolute worst experience here last Wednesday night. We had hoped to come in and celebrate our anniversary with my mother and father in law. The restaurant was next to empty and the service couldn't have been worse due to our waiter consistently just wandering around and hanging out at the bar talking to other staff. To both order our food and our drinks we had to go ask the hostess and bar tender respectively to send support. Our waiter would go missing for 10 minutes or so in the back somewhere only to return and make excuses. Had I not been with my disabled father in law I would have left after waiting 15 minutes for a drink order. Getting him there and seated was battle enough so we waited it out. I asked the bar tender to take our drink order and he said he would get our waiter. Waiter shows up and immediately fires a first excuse, "Sorry we are so swamped and perpetually understaffed." There was not a single person in the back room and only a handful of tables in the front/back patio and several staff roaming throughout. We got out drinks and then he said he would be back for our food order. When he finally came back to take our food order he saw someone he knew across the room and began to shout the persons name while standing next to us. "Yo dog it's me from the studio. We are studio mates remember" Honestly it was pathetic. You are not too cool for this job and your reggae dub band isn't all that big the dude didn't even recognize you. When he finally popped back to reality that he had a job to do he said we could still order from the happy hour which was well within time when we had showed up. (5:30) We ordered and then he came back to tell us that it was past time for him to push it through. (6:10) Not a big deal really wasn't sweating this so we ordered our food and had hoped to order a second round of drinks but he took off mid sentence. Eventually went to the bar to order another round and they said they'd send him. Every time he came by he acted annoyed and shuffled around like he was the enlightened one and couldn't stand to be bothered. Eventually got our food, got some boxes from the hostess and I ended up going to the bar to pay since he didn't come check back on us. I told the bar tender I was done waiting around on the guy to do his job and he apologized and seemingly agreed. As we were leaving the waiter came to bring me the check concerned we were exiting without paying. I told him I was done waiting around on him and checked out at the bar. He looked confused as ever and I had exhausted my energy by this point so I spared him the details he didn't pick up on. $200 tab, would have had a better time taking burritos to...
Read moreThe Appetizers were excellent, we got the Calamari tentacles and rings my Absolute favorite the tentacles, so crispy and delicious. The other Appetizer was the tater tots, with cheese, & bacon in a cheesy sauce, those were really tasty, hard to stop at one. My lunch was salmon over a pesto pasta with vegetables. My salmon was pretty good, however the pesto pasta was not flavorful at all. I was disappointed with that dish, especially for the price $ 36 for the salmon & pesto pasta for lunch. The atmosphere is Beautiful, we sat outside on the patio. The waterfall with the huge Koi fish was very enjoyable to watch and to listen to.
The chairs on the patio are terribly uncomfortable they make you lean back while cutting off circulation in the legs. Sevy's needs better patio chairs both parties complained about these chairs being super uncomfortable, our table of four and this other table of four near us.
We were sad to see the big fish tank in the entryway to the front desk was gone as well.
The big fish tank was quite an eye catching Beautiful scenery piece that went well with the area and being close to the beach. Too bad they got rid of that. A huge disappointment!
Our server that day was nice enough, but very clumsy and lacking professionalism. He sorta threw our Appetizers plates to us at the table. He then dumped waters all over the folks at the table near us. We all noticed and thought his mannerisms were unprofessional. Maybe a few classes he may need to take to give better public service in the restaurant serving business. " Suggestion."
I would definitely eat here again, try something different and we won't sit outside on those uncomfortable chairs, and hopefully that particular Gentleman that served us last time won't be our server on...
Read moreI’ll cut straight to the point — service is abysmal.
Went by around 11am on a Saturday morning, fairly empty dining room.
The dining room has a “seat yourself” sign, but the only problem is that the front of house staff doesn’t know when you’ve been seated! Kept waiting for servers passing by to notice my waving hand, it took a customer on the table next to me to inform the staff that I was waiting before I could place my order!
Food was good, right amount of seasoning, portion size was on the lighter side.
A new guest was sat next to me and it felt like the server refused to acknowledge me! Constantly tried waving them down and making eye contact. They help you briefly and then drift off into the background, nowhere to be found. Had to ask numerous times before getting the check.
If you were to walk out of here without paying the bill I don’t think anyone would notice or care.
Front of house staff is unmotivated, uninspired, and it’s obvious they don’t want to be here. There was one table that left and within my whole duration the table was not bussed and reset. It’s as if the people refuse to work together.
I paid the bill with cash, the bill being $20.71 I was expecting to receive $9.29 in change, having put down $30. After signaling numerous times for the server to get me change, they finally returned with $9… with no mention of what happened to the other 29 cents. Am I making a big deal out of 29 cents? No. But it’s more so the lack of communication and professionalism. What happened?
Can’t believe I still left a tip.
Got up, walked out without a, “goodbye”, “have a nice day” or any of the sort.
Will not be...
