Really, really, REALLY disappointed with the food. We had high expectations for this place especially given the rating on most social media outlets but after 7 dishes and only 1 that was worth talking about, (the scallops,) we unfortunately had to complain once our dessert sunk and became the cherry on top.
We started out with the shishito peppers, so bland and boring i don’t think any flavor was added outside of the toasted sesame seeds and occasional flakes of salt. We were then very intrigued when the hamachi crudo became our centerpiece. It was a stunning display of color and art but it was underwhelming with too much coconut cream and not enough distinct characteristics that made it stand out from other crudos we have had from similarly priced restaurants. We were luckily taken back into excitement when the famous scallops landed in front of us. That was our wow moment in our nearly 2 hour dinner experience and the only moment we actually felt satisfied with the textures, flavors and consistency. They were perfectly cooked as they should be for a nearly $50, five scallop on hummus entree. Next, we were served the gnocchi which we were told were pillowy and fabulous. Pillowy would have been nice but instead they were soggy and over cooked. Barely pressing one down created an almost mashed potato texture whereby you wouldn’t be able to tell if this were a pasta or a buttery mashed potato ball. Lastly for the main courses we had an over cooked, dry braised short rib that instead of falling apart with a fork, needed to be cut with a knife and had just enough sauce to give one bite a little more flavor but not add enough moisture to get the rest down. In fact, my hungry friends didn’t want anymore even when the two little chunks cost nearly $70. To top off our night we had to give dessert a try. We went for the $20 olive cake and the $40 “death by chocolate” cake. No pun intended with the chocolate cake… it was the death of us and we finally complained. The olive cake was extremely soggy and instead of being light and tender it was dense and soggy. The chocolate cake was so hard, my spoon couldn’t cut into it within making it flip over on the plate and it tasted like a bitter, alcohol covered, hockey puck(most likely from what they flambéed the cake with.) We sent the desserts back and finally had to talk to a manager regarding our food critique.
At the end of this experience we were actually sad. We wanted to enjoy every bite, every flavor and every dish to the point of raving about it, posting pictures on our Instagram and telling others we finally found the new “hot spot” in Campbell. We wanted to plan our next visit and let others know to eat there when you’re craving not only good food but a beautiful presentation, however we are left with a bad taste in our mouth and a hefty...

An Unforgettable Culinary Experience at LIRA Fine Dining
If you’re looking for a dining experience that will completely blow you away, LIRA Fine Dining in Campbell is the place to be. From the moment you step inside, you know you’re in for something special—but nothing prepares you for just how incredible the food, drinks, and overall atmosphere are.
Chef Tucker is an absolute genius in the kitchen. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, perfectly balanced, and presented like a piece of art. The attention to detail was insane—from the first bite to the last, every course was an adventure in taste. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection, the meats were tender and juicy, and the flavor combinations were unlike anything I’ve ever had before. It’s clear Chef Tucker isn’t just cooking—he’s creating an experience.
And let’s talk about the desserts. The Dubai cheesecake just wow! They weren’t just delicious; they were mind-blowing. Rich, decadent, yet somehow light and refreshing at the same time. Each dessert felt like the perfect ending to the meal, but honestly, I could’ve kept eating them forever. You can tell a lot of love and creativity goes into the dessert menu, and it absolutely shows.
Now, the cocktails—this is where LIRA really sets itself apart. Every drink we tried was crafted with such precision and flair, each one a perfect balance of flavors you wouldn’t expect but somehow work together perfectly. They weren’t just drinks; they were experiences in a glass. I’ve had my fair share of cocktails, but the ones at LIRA are truly in a league of their own. Unique, bold, and utterly unforgettable.
Owner Faisal G has created a space that feels both upscale and inviting. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had an incredible evening. The whole team at LIRA makes you feel like you’re part of something special from start to finish.
Whether you’re celebrating a big occasion or just want to treat yourself to an extraordinary night out, LIRA Fine Dining is a must. With food this delicious, desserts that will leave you speechless, and cocktails like you’ve never had before, this place is easily one of the Bay Area’s best dining spots.

Read moreWe had an incredible dining experience at Lira by Chef Tucker in Campbell! From start to finish, every detail was thoughtful and elevated — it’s so exciting to have a creative and refined spot like this added to the South Bay dining scene.
We started with the sunchoke appetizer, which was absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. The flavors were rich and layered, and the presentation was stunning. We also had the hamachi crudo appetizer, which had the perfect balance of chili oil heat and coconut essence — such a creative combination that really worked. Each plate is designed to be shared and experienced, which made the meal feel interactive and fun. The variety on the menu is impressive — there’s truly something for everyone.
A major highlight were the short ribs— melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor — and the Dubai cheesecake was the perfect way to end the meal. It was light, creamy, and had such a unique flavor profile. I also had a beautifully crafted mocktail (I wish I could remember the name!), but it was so well-balanced and refreshing.
The vibrancy of each plate was remarkable — edible flowers and bright, fresh ingredients made every dish feel like a work of art. The atmosphere is modern and lively, making it a perfect spot for a date night or a night out with friends.
To top it all off, Chef Tucker herself stopped by our table to say hello. She was so warm and down-to-earth — it’s clear that her passion and creativity are reflected in every dish.
We’re already looking forward to coming back once brunch starts in a few weeks — if dinner is any indication, brunch is going to be incredible! Lira is such a gem, and I can’t wait to explore more of...
