The Vesper — Restaurant in Campbell

I have been to Vesper a number of times, but recently I hosted a 30th birthday party for my husband at Vesper. We coordinated all the details over email with Danny, a staff member. I am so glad we chose to host our party here because Danny and Anna went above and beyond to ensure we have an amazing time. We asked for a customised menu and they printed them in-house for us. We were expecting just a list of drinks maybe on A4 sheets, but they printed our menu in such a fancy manner. They even curated a charcuterie board for us outside of their menu, and allowed us to play our choice of music in the private area on second floor of the bar, where we hosted our private little party. I specifically want to give a shout out to our server, Anna. She was so sweet and welcoming, and she took great care of our guests. She kept checking if we needed anything time to time and made the experience perfect. All the cocktails and food was very nice. Had a quick bite there last night with my Dad on his last evening of his visit. I know I may sound old when I say the place is super loud. Literally challenging to have a conversation across the table. They could really use some sort of noise buffer. The service was quick. Food - we ordered the prosciutto wrapped stuffed dates, which were dry & hard from obviously having been prepped quite a while before service & reheated. Not especially appetizing, definitely old tasting. We also ordered the charcuterie board which consisted of 2 small pieces of cheese & 2 options of meat, 4 small pieces each. There were 4 ramekins of accompaniments & a large handful of baguette slices and a bunch of crackers. Again, unimpressive. The proportions of meat & cheese to bread & garnishes was way out of balance. My paloma cocktail was yummy but when I accidentally tipped it & spilled 1/2, the server didn't offer to refill it for me. Probably...

Perfect for a girls night out or a date night. Loved how cool the bar was too.. came here with a few gal pals and it was interesting to see how packed it was. Good thing we had a reservation! It was only 6 pm and was getting busier.

We got seated right away, our server got us water and menu. Tons of options in the menu so we ordered the hummus, anchovy buratta platter and the veggie flatbread. This was a good quantity for the 3 of us and I think could have easily fed a fourth :) The Buratta was super fresh and the bread that comes with was delicious. The hummus was flavored so made it all the more delicious. Veggie flatbread was wholesome and full of veggies and was quite tasty.
