I was next door with my husband waiting on my car to have new tires put on. He has diabetes and his blood sugar was dropping as we didn't have lunch yet. We typically try to support local and small name establishments before larger corporations. Opted to come here and get a sweet tea (which cost $3.17) vs going next door to the Dollar Tree for a drink. I carry extra sugar packets in my purse and had planned to mix them into the sweet tea for him. After purchase of the tea, I asked if I could please have a set of the takeout utensils (so that I could mix the sugar into the tea for him). Older blonde lady at the Take Out section of the bar told me "Those are for take out customers getting food" and then proceeded to get on the phone. I didn't argue and left. Clearly this establishment doesn't value anyone choosing to support them versus larger chain corporations. I always tip even for takeout and bad service because I undestand people need a liveable wage. Not today. Not only did this cost her a tip, but as someone versed in business, a bad review showing how greedy a business (not to mention the lack of humanity over pennies), will certainly hurt more than a few cents for a plastic spoon. We will also not be returning to eat here and will be telling friends and family about our first impression. I hope management hires a better face for the company, because this one just cost you alot. Your word-of-mouth is the cheapest and most effective marketing strategy. Very...
Read moreOk, let me sum up Johnny’s Pizza and this location all in one review. I’ve been eating at Johnny’s for over 20 years. The first time I went into Johnny’s, was into their location in Fayetteville, Ga. It was amazing! On par with some of the best pizza in the world and it was immediately (and obviously) voted “Best Pizza Chain” by yours truly....HOWEVER, I found out very quickly that the greatest thing this chain suffers from is CONSISTENCY PROBLEMS....EVERY restaurant is different. Johnny’s can make some of the BEST PIZZA around and some of the ABSOLUTE WORST! .... and sadly enough, I would have to say that this restaurant is the ABSOLUTE WORST one I have EVER eaten at!!! I’m not the kind of person to write a BAD REVIEW from ONE experience. I have given this place 3 CHANCES and they struck out with all THREE!! The pizza is downright GROSS!! The pizza I just ate didn’t taste like it had fresh ingredients and the toppings were GLOBBED ON heavily!! So heavy that the crust was completely soggy, mushy and again.....GROSS!!! It is clear to me that this owner has never eaten a good pizza from Jonny’s and he doesn’t have a clear reference point!! If you want an EXCELLENT JOHNNYS, drive up the street 15 minutes to the Hickory Flat Johnny’s and get some of the BEST PIZZA you will...
Read moreThe food was PHENOMENAL. The garlic knots are absolutely to die for, and the pizza was great other than their Italian sausage isn't in little chunks like all the other pizza establishments I've ever been to. My husband loved it, but it was VERY finely scrambled like you'd make hamburger meat for hotdog chili. It's not a problem for most people, I'm sure; I just hate sausage and anticipated being able to pick it off. That isn't their fault, though, of course, just my personal preference.
The service, on the other hand, was severely lacking. We sat with empty drinks pretty much for the duration of the meal (not even one refill), and chasing down the ONE server was impossible. They had one food runner who apparently only brought food out and didn't refill drinks, and one cashier who was very actively doing literally nothing except standing behind the register. The place was PACKED when we left, and it was trivia night. They should've known better to have only one server, one food runner, and one cashier who just held the floor down in one spot the whole time. Trivia night is crazy loud to the point one participant (?) actually showed up wearing earmuffs. Either that, or she knew it was trivia night, and she had a serious craving for pizza and was just willing to...
