Canaveral Meats — Restaurant in Cape Canaveral

A true deli - an original, wonderful, friendly place that serves delicious food. According to the MyAreanetwork website, “Canaveral Meats & Deli is a locally owned business. We sell the freshest meat on the beach and also have a full deli with daily soup and sandwich specials.” My partner and I decided to try this on the way back from an event. We wanted something different from fast food and saw this along the way. It is a street off A1A, north of Ron Jons. Located in a small, older, strip center it is one of the middle stores with plenty of parking for customers. The staff was very friendly and gave us great suggestions for sandwiches. 3 people were working behind the counter that stretched the length of the store showing the beautiful cuts of beef and side dishes. We ordered a Reuben and a roast beef sandwich and finished both before arriving home. We also picked up steaks for dinner. The sandwich prices were excellent at just under $6 for a GREAT sandwich. This is a deli and NOT a restaurant as there is no seating. It is a great place that I plan to visit again. If you are in the area and want some delicious sandwiches at a great price, I would highly recommend...

Since I moved here from CT years ago, I have been looking for a "real" italian deli. Sadly, I still haven't found any like the delis up north. I accidentally found Canaveral Meats and Deli while randomly driving around. I stopped in and it had the look and feel of some delis back up north with the fresh butcher meats and sandwich counter. I went and ordered an "Italian Combo" sub expecting something liks i was used to. I was a bit disappointed. My "sub" had 2 thin slices of ham, 2 thin slices of capicolla, 2 thin slices of salami and 2 thin slices of provolone.....on what was barely considered a "sub roll". I could only think of the old lady TV commercial..."where's the beef".... It was a very skimpy sandwich. I get more meat from Publix deli samples.

I guess I'm just spoiled by the delis up north where "subs, hero's and hogies" are packed with meat......

This place is awesome. The staff is amazing. That is one of the main reasons I continue to go here week after week. The food is amazing too.

They make 4 fresh soups everyday and they are out of this world. I have never had a bad one. Even in the summer time I get the soup but it is especially good right now while it is cold out.

They also make fresh sandwiches and subs and they have a special everyday that is very affordable. Be sure to check out their Facebook page everyday to see the soups and sub of the day.

You can also buy fresh meat to take home and cook yourself.

I can't say enough about this place. Support local and grab lunch here. Great food but even better staff.
