These young folks are at it again, this being their second year in their brick & mortar location after many years of operating food trucks by Dad. For 2024 there is a expanded menu to suit everyone and not just seafood lovers. If you visit Cape May this season, then Dockside Dave's Seafood Market needs to be on your list of eateries. Dine in/Takeout; it doesn't get much easier than that. Cheers!!!!

SMALL SIGN; BIG FLAVORS: I put Dockside Dave's on my radar here in Cape May while planning our week's stay. After a 4 mile hike late morning and another short stop elsewhere, decided to check out Dockside Dave's. There is also a nice backstory here. Anyway, onto our order. Lobster Roll for me, Crabcake Sandwich for my wife, and an order of Calamari for US. These folks have got it down. Just outstanding food, prep, and execution. It could not have been better. Coming back on Thursday for some Cape May Salts (oysters) and who knows what else. A nice young couple are the proprietors (the young man is the son of Dave). Not to be missed. The best, most fresh seafood on Cape May Island! Dockside Dave's has the best halibut and salmon I have ever eaten, anywhere, rivaling the top restaurants (and surpassing many of them) for sure, in quality and quantity (and preparation if you order it prepared). And, they are very reasonably priced for a broiled platter of Halibut or Salmon with coleslaw (outstanding!!!) and choice of French fries, backed potato, rice or more slaw - $28 and $26 respectively. You can't beat this value! Or buy the fish and take it home to prepare your own way - it is superb!!! The crab cake is also the best on the island and HUGE! It feeds 2, unless you are super duper hungry. I can't wait to go back and try the lobster roll or scampi dishes. They also have fried platters as well as the broiled platters. Their shrimp are HUGE too! And the scallops looked divine! Going back as many times as possible on my stay here in Cape May and highly recommend you do that too! They are open at 10am every day except Mondays and are an excellent choice for lunch or dinner or take home. ...
