Jojo Pizza — Restaurant in Cape May

The employees were pleasant enough. The young lady at the cash register most definitely would have preferred to be some place else but she wasn't rude. The prices are ridiculous. One large pizza and 3 orders of fries came to $46. The fries were outright gross. Cooked to a crisp but saturated with old oil. Yuck! Not sure how you royally mess up fries. It's so basic. The pizza was slightly better but for the price, should have been fantastic. The tables were not clean and there were ants in the window sill. Can only imagine what lurked behind the closed off areas.

No outside seating and no one wearing masks. Perhaps that would have been ok if they limited the number of people inside the very small establishment. We ended up leaving before finishing everything because the food and the environment was bad and the place got super crowded. Guess these people were desperate for something to eat/drink or it was their first time.

I got a watermelon water ice. The water ice was in the freezer uncovered. It had an after taste and did not taste like watermelon. It tasted like a dirty old freezer. I can tell they have not cleaned it in a while. I did not mind, I was not upset at all. I went back inside and told the young lady at the front that I did not like the after taste that it had and asked to return it. She said, “okay” then went to short tan man wearing an apron. He said, “what she doesn’t like the taste? It taste like watermelon!” Then side eyed me and threw the water ice in the sink. I did not mind having to return what was purchased but his attitude was unacceptable. Passing by JoJos was the main why my family and I came to Cape May then they changed their minds and wanted to eat somewhere else. We came to JoJos after for some water ice and his reaction to me saying I did not like the taste was disgusting. He did not talk to me at all just looked at me and threw my cup of water ice into the sink. That was very...

Whoa, this one's a no-no. Terrible service, poor value for your dollar. I got a lemonade--16 ounces for $5, which is fundamentally awful, anyway--and then it was almost all ice. Just wow. Anyway, I went back in to say, hey, this is all ice for 5 bucks and the guy rudely asked me if I just wanted my money back, and slapped the fiver back over to me before I had a chance to think. So I took it and then took my drink, as well, since I wasn't given the option of simply getting a top off, which is what I wanted. The manager came out and got in my face, told me "you take your money back (which was the only option I was given), you give back the drink." And then he stuck his hand in my face to take back the drink, which I'm sure he then poured down the sink. What a wasteful, pathetically self-interested uppity kind of people they've got up here in Cape May. Definitely will never return to the pizza place, and it's not looking good for Cape...
