You know what goes a long way? Just being nice. I’ve been here many times, I live right around the corner. I love the pasteries so much they’re epic…the coffee is ok…here’s my issue and why I’m writing a not good review….every time I come here the baristas are impatient and just overall lame. Once I asked for a bit more caramel in my caramel latte… Instead of just replying with yes, no problem. The girl informed me how many grams were already in it and acted annoyed. Another time I was attempting to make small talk and saw the cold foam on their seasonal drink and asked to try it… The girl quickly replied that they charge for that…I said ok, and the guy pulled out the mobile register and asked for $1 for a squirt of cold foam. I had just order $25 in food and a latte. The whole attitude in general and energy is just crappy. I own a small business in encintas and never ever would act this way towards customers. It makes me just want to forget it… The only other business I remember operating this Way was a place in Lucadia that recently just went under. How do you treat? People is a massive part of business especially local that you...
Read moreI’m grateful to this place because it reminded me why I moved away. I was quite perturbed by my experience here. I’d brought my own cup for coffee but the barista used one of y’all’s single-use cups to fill before pouring the coffee into my cup. This obviously defeats the purpose of bringing my own cup. But what y’all fail to recognize is that I’m also trying to avoid the microplastics from your cups. I know that’s probably laughable to y’all but you’d be surprised how much better you feel when you make an effort to avoid consuming plastic. Regardless, when I mentioned to the barista that their actions defeated the purpose of me bringing a cup, they ignored me and turned to help the next person. Seeing as there was a long line, I didn’t say anything more and left. So, here I am voicing my grievances. There’s an easy solution here—use a glass mason jar to measure coffee for the folks who’ve made the effort to bring their own cup. Going to get a cup of coffee is not a frivolous pursuit nowadays. It’s something to look forward to either as a means to treat yourself or, in my case, to fuel me for a long drive FAR away...
Read moreRevolution Roasters is a great place if you need some peace, comfort and a good cup of coffee. My boyfriend and I came to the cafe today with some friends who were visiting California.
We agreed that it was the perfect spot to get coffee and food to start our day before giving them a tour of SD. I've had different types of toast/pastries throughout SD/North County and this place has some of the best. Not only was everything refreshing but all the flavors were complimentary.
Additionally, the service was amazing. Everyone there was so kind and inviting. The food did take a bit of time to get to our table but it was worth it. Plus, the drinks were ready...
