This is the first Google review I’ve written and honestly I didn’t want to write it. I called Pizza Port once I was home and asked to speak to the manager in hopes to resolve the issue, but the manager, Harley was very dismissive and unapologetic and very short when I explained what happened she just said, “Ok!” Perhaps she was the one I actually dealt with while in the restaurant because no one was wearing a name tag so I’m not sure. I called in my order at 6 PM and they told me it would be one hour wait so that’s fine, they were busy I totally get it, it would be worth the wait. I showed up at exactly 7 PM and one pizza was ready the other one was lost. My pizza was sitting over on the shelf nowhere near the oven getting cold so clearly it took less than an hour. OK fine. But the other pizza was lost and they couldn’t find it so they were going to have to remake it and they were very unapologetic. So since I had to wait another 15 to 20 minutes I asked them to please remake my pizza that was sitting there so that it would not be cold by the time I was home. They looked at me like I asked for a refund and my pizza, I just wanted a new pizza so it wasn’t cold. They said they would do it this one time but since there was nothing wrong with my pizza they saw no reason to remake it. So I stood and watched and as I stood and watched the young girl with the black beanie on and braided pigtails gave me dirty looks. Truly I was nice but I should not have had to ask, they should have offered. I felt very uncomfortable. While she gave me dirty looks wearing her blue gloves she scratched her head, she touched her face, she brushed her hair away from her face and then proceeded to handle food and sprinkle toppings on the pizzas as she placed them on the counter, all the while wearing the same blue gloves. Thankfully she didn’t have to place last minute toppings on my pizza. My pizzas were finished, she boxed them up, pushed them in my direction and that was it. Got home and the pizzas were very doughy, barely any sauce and not cooked all the way through. It was just a bad experience and literally left a bad taste in my mouth , very disappointing. My husband called and spoke with Grant and he was the only one who apologized and offered resolution via refund. Honestly this is not the first time I have experienced bad service at this location. I shared this because I don’t want anyone else to have this experience. Pizza Port in Bressi Ranch is much better! I do not recommend...
Read moreWorst dining experience I've had in a long time. I've been to several locations including this one. Was here on a late Sunday evening from 8:15 to 9:45pm.
First of all, the whole restaurant is a dirty messy pigsty. Food and trash was all over the floor everywhere. The restroom was filthy and out of paper towels in two places. The one time I saw someone bussing the picnic tables, he was just clearing them and not cleaning them.
After a 10-15 minute line to order, it took 75 minutes to get our food! Yes, one hour and 15 minutes to get a pizza!
The ice machine for drinks was out of order. Which doesn't help with matters when its 90 degrees inside either. To make matters worse, after receiving our pizzas, one was burnt and had to be redone!
This was an absolute nightmare of a time and we won't be back to this location

Forgot to mention that the kitchen area is just as bad for cleanliness. No one pins their hair back while preparing the food, I can only imagine how many hairs are eaten...
Read moreI visited Pizza Port in Carlsbad this past weekend in order to take notes on the environment, transportation to, and products of this brewery/restaurant combo for a college class I am taking.
The first thing I noticed about Pizza Port was the energetic, young, and friendly feeling of the place. There were families with young children, multiple dogs, a lot of cyclists who were there for a beer after a ride, and even a little league baseball team celebrating with pizza after a win. I definitely believe that Pizza Port clearly is a gathering place for the community.
This Pizza Port location is in the heart of Carlsbad Village; a very walkable, pedestrian friendly town. As mentioned above, there were many cyclists as well because Carlsbad coast has very popular riding trails/streets for cyclists.
The last thing I want to highlight is the large range of products that Pizza Port offers. Of course pizza being part of the main attraction, the made-in-house brews are also what attracts so many new and constantly returning customers. Not only do they have their own beers on tap, but they also offer a lot of guest beers. I found out from a bartender that they offered a limited amount of Pliny the Younger on Valentines Day as they are friends with Russian River’s owners and got an early batch. Very cool to see the camaraderie between...
