First time here. Moo goo gai pan was good except for the rotten bok choy. I had to pick it out. It was brown around the edges and clearly not fresh. The rest of the vegetables were fresh. They use fresh mushrooms not canned. I added broccoli which was fresh and cooked perfectly. The snow peas were a little thin and sickly looking but tasted ok. Very sparse. The flavor of the dish was there but the vegetables were definitely lacking except for the broccoli and mushrooms. The dish was a bit salty. The egg drop soup was pretty good by Indianapolis standards. Very basic with no peas or green onions. The broth had a nice velvety consistency. I asked for a side of chili oil but that was a $1 so I passed. I think that was a bit much for a small cup of oil with chili's in it. This was the best moo goo I've had in a while which is sad since it had rotten old vegetables in it. LOL The bok choy should have went in the trash, not in my food. But that's the state of Indianapolis Chinese food for you these days. I sure miss Oriental Inn. The container of egg drop soup was huge. I believe it was a quart size. My bill was $19. Entree was a full...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter looking at the restaurantās ratings we went here for dinner and had a great time.
It wasnāt crazy packed and we were seated right away. Inside, it was nicely decorated with artwork and lights and overall the place was very clean. All the staff was polite and friendly and it didnāt take long to get our food.
Looking at the menu you can tell it is very robust and has a lot of things. They special rolls are excellent and they are one of a few sushi makers in town who offer lobster and soy paper rolls. There are a lot of great items like Indiana roll or Maine roll.
Prices may seem 10% higher than average but they serve rolls with 8-10 pieces most of the time, not 5-8. There is really a lot of food and you also get free edamame as an appetizer.
Rolls were very delicious and Iād definitely come back and try their other options. Itās not Ukiyo but it is just as good as Hino Oishi, Hana, Kobayashi, or Miracle....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would not order sushi here ever. If you have any idea of what good sushi is, you won't like this. The spicy tuna hand rolls were disgusting, didn't look like tuna, and didn't taste like tuna, let alone fresh tuna. Yes, it's a Tuesday, so maybe they didn't get fresh fish that day, but it was no good. The other sushi we ordered was equally mediocre to poor. The menu is so varied (all things for all people) nothing is good. We had a big order, well over $150. The Chinese dishes were bland, and unremarkable. Mall-food at best. I hate to leave an awful review during COVID, but most of what we ordered...
