My boyfriend and I decided to try Hino Oishi for the first time today and I have to give them a 5 star !!!! If I could give them more, I would ! It wasn’t a bunch of people there which was the biggest plus for me because I cannot stand to eat in a crowded environment. The customer service was top tier they seated us immediately and served us with our drink of choice. I had the lemon drop and it was a hit like I knew it would be because I love lemon drop drinks, they’re smooth and you can hardly taste the liquor but be careful because I got two and mine snuck up on me quick šŸ˜‚. My bf had the Moscow Mule and he said it was good and strong. The food was AMAZING & a very large portion size. OUR COOK was amazing and the highlight of our meal. He was sooooo friendly, held great conversation and most importantly he cooked our food to perfection. His name was ā€œDKā€ I will personally request him each time we eat there from now on. Go check them out it’s fire.

Sushi at @ hinooishiindy last night. Sorry to say it's NOT WHAT ITS HYPED UP TO BE! šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø The star of our meal was the fried calamari. Well actually it was the sauce that came with it.Ā  3 rolls we ordered were good; Nori Roll, Yummy Roll and the Golden Gate Bridge. However the Seaweed wrap was extremely tough and chewy lol I don't know how that could be. Everytime you bite into the roll everything comess off of it except the seaweed. You had to tare at it. The dumplings were.... just not good 😫Unseasoned meat inside, chewy outside and nearly cold. Service was Mid. He actually brought over the wrong order not ONCE not TWICE but 3 times smh. On top of all that our Tab was $100+ for 6 rolls and 2 apps. Usually wouldn't be a problem but it was so not worth it. Check this place out. Maybe you'll have a better day than I did. I can say it was clean.

For the Valentine’s Day they had a Special menu for the Sushi, see the picture. Both the Crab Lover and Yakuza rolls were excellent, the Big Daddy roll was just ok. We came after the lunch hour rush, and it might be a break time for some of the waiters since suddenly there were less of them around, we had to wait for awhile to find one of them to make more order. The restaurant was clean but next to us they stored they cleaning items on the open near the special menu. It was a turn off looking at them while enjoying our meals šŸ˜…

Today I will be reviewing a nice little hibachi place I found called Hino Oishi. In Zionsville Indiana, I liked their menu I ordered the fried rice and even before you ordered they gave either miso soup or salad, and both were great. I did find that the prices were a little high but for the food and the show I would say that it was worth it. Some facts about this restaurant was their location was a little hard to find from the main road. But once you got back there it was pretty easy to spot. Their hours were from I think 11am-midnight on most days. I think that those are pretty good hours for a dinner place. One of my only downsides was that the wait was quite a while to get a chef, especially considering that they weren't very busy at all. But the waiters were kind and they were always making sure you were good at anything. One more thing that I liked is that the waiter was standing out in the dining area and not in the back so if you needed them you could get their attention quickly. But now for the moment, you have been waiting for the food review. So if you can remember I ordered the fried rice and veggies. So my favorite part about the meal is if you know about Hibachi style is that they do tricks and make your food in front of you. And these chefs are pros at it they were doing some high-level tricks and It was very impressive while still making delicious food. My fried rice was great with a lot of flavor and all of the sauces were great the chicken was good but not the best I have ever had. And the veggies were a little burned but still very food so in conclusion I would have to give it a ā…˜ star!!!!!! I would recommend this place for a quick and fun place to go with...

We are HUGE hibachi lovers and have tried a ton of different places. We were SO impressed with the interior aesthetic of this place. It is probably the best decorated, clean and professional looking hibachi place I've been to yet. The sushi bar is beautiful and looks like it belongs in a chic downtown bar of a major city. The place is very neat, the chairs are comfortable, the menus thoughtfully designed, the staff friendly and the food amazing.

One HUGE plus is that they are open more hours than almost any other hibachi place I've ever seen. Most hibachi places are open from like 11am-3pm then close and reopen at 5 or 6pm. We walked in at 4:20 and were excited to see that it was open!

We found this place entirely by accident. We were looking for another restaurant in the area that we got directions to from a friend. Well, their directions were wrong or we just couldn't find it but we did find Hino Oishi and we are SO glad we did.

I got steak and chicken (plus a roll of sushi) while my dining partner got chicken. They were cooked to perfection and the chef went to extra lengths to make sure everything was cooked to our liking. My dining partner was pregnant and, obviously, raw or undercooked chicken is a danger. He was so friendly and entertaining even though we were the only 2 people in the restaurant.

I have read that some people thought it was expensive but I think it's right on par with other hibachi places. We usually pay between $35-$50 for dinner depending how many entrees we get and we paid exactly what we expected.

We will...

Not a great experience for being my first time going to this restaurant. I’m going to make it short because from arrival of 6:30 until departure 8:45 was an experience. Service was absolutely the worst and food was disgusting. I understand it was Mother’s Day and it was going to busy. That is why I made reservation just for that. Clearly that didn’t matter. Now the entire experience wasn’t all bad. Good- great sushi, nice atmosphere, and awesome adult beverages. Bad- dirty plates, rude waitress, salad rotten, teriyaki sauce taste like powder cheese. The waitress must have gotten upset because she took our order and we didn’t see her until we were ready to leave. Now I had a party of 3 but the other family had a total of 6. They was more upset then I was because it suppose to be Mother’s Day and the experience was awful. I doubt I will ever visit here again but I’ll let others choose for themselves. Maybe it’s better other times and the chef will know how to make teriyaki sauce. I don’t know but 1 star...
