Today I will be reviewing a nice little hibachi place I found called Hino Oishi. In Zionsville Indiana, I liked their menu I ordered the fried rice and even before you ordered they gave either miso soup or salad, and both were great. I did find that the prices were a little high but for the food and the show I would say that it was worth it. Some facts about this restaurant was their location was a little hard to find from the main road. But once you got back there it was pretty easy to spot. Their hours were from I think 11am-midnight on most days. I think that those are pretty good hours for a dinner place. One of my only downsides was that the wait was quite a while to get a chef, especially considering that they weren't very busy at all. But the waiters were kind and they were always making sure you were good at anything. One more thing that I liked is that the waiter was standing out in the dining area and not in the back so if you needed them you could get their attention quickly. But now for the moment, you have been waiting for the food review. So if you can remember I ordered the fried rice and veggies. So my favorite part about the meal is if you know about Hibachi style is that they do tricks and make your food in front of you. And these chefs are pros at it they were doing some high-level tricks and It was very impressive while still making delicious food. My fried rice was great with a lot of flavor and all of the sauces were great the chicken was good but not the best I have ever had. And the veggies were a little burned but still very food so in conclusion I would have to give it a ā star!!!!!! I would recommend this place for a quick and fun place to go with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe are HUGE hibachi lovers and have tried a ton of different places. We were SO impressed with the interior aesthetic of this place. It is probably the best decorated, clean and professional looking hibachi place I've been to yet. The sushi bar is beautiful and looks like it belongs in a chic downtown bar of a major city. The place is very neat, the chairs are comfortable, the menus thoughtfully designed, the staff friendly and the food amazing.
One HUGE plus is that they are open more hours than almost any other hibachi place I've ever seen. Most hibachi places are open from like 11am-3pm then close and reopen at 5 or 6pm. We walked in at 4:20 and were excited to see that it was open!
We found this place entirely by accident. We were looking for another restaurant in the area that we got directions to from a friend. Well, their directions were wrong or we just couldn't find it but we did find Hino Oishi and we are SO glad we did.
I got steak and chicken (plus a roll of sushi) while my dining partner got chicken. They were cooked to perfection and the chef went to extra lengths to make sure everything was cooked to our liking. My dining partner was pregnant and, obviously, raw or undercooked chicken is a danger. He was so friendly and entertaining even though we were the only 2 people in the restaurant.
I have read that some people thought it was expensive but I think it's right on par with other hibachi places. We usually pay between $35-$50 for dinner depending how many entrees we get and we paid exactly what we expected.
We will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot a great experience for being my first time going to this restaurant. Iām going to make it short because from arrival of 6:30 until departure 8:45 was an experience. Service was absolutely the worst and food was disgusting. I understand it was Motherās Day and it was going to busy. That is why I made reservation just for that. Clearly that didnāt matter. Now the entire experience wasnāt all bad. Good- great sushi, nice atmosphere, and awesome adult beverages. Bad- dirty plates, rude waitress, salad rotten, teriyaki sauce taste like powder cheese. The waitress must have gotten upset because she took our order and we didnāt see her until we were ready to leave. Now I had a party of 3 but the other family had a total of 6. They was more upset then I was because it suppose to be Motherās Day and the experience was awful. I doubt I will ever visit here again but Iāll let others choose for themselves. Maybe itās better other times and the chef will know how to make teriyaki sauce. I donāt know but 1 star...
