CHIDO'S Mexican Wine Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Carolina

My group went in, were told to order at the bar, but when we did, we were told someone would come and take our order. After 15 minutes, our waitress arrived, took our orders, and clarified what drinks we had ordered. She came back with margaritas for some of us, but half of us were still left without drinks. we ordered our food and after another 20 minutes, half the group was still without drinks. We had ordered an appetizer that didn’t arrive until after our main courses. And the main courses took really long to get to us, and some of them were even forgotten. One of our group had an allergy that should not have conflicted with what he ordered, yet when it was brought to us, he brought it up and she said that the food she brought was sufficient, and that they did not have what the menu stated they would, in order to accommodate him. Another in our party who never received her food ate the messed up order because it was left on the table. Two people in our party ended up having to leave in order to find food that they could actually eat, even though the menu said several of the dishes would be safe for them. When we received the bill we were charged for the meals that never arrived, as well as drinks that never arrived. our server refused to take most of it off of the tab, and when asked for someone else to speak to, she was irate and yelled at us that she was the manager. We ended up having to pay for food that we never received, and for orders that were wrong.

The staff was extremely disrespectful when trying to address an important issue, denying what the menu said, and saying that we were being untruthful about what they offered. They were out of half of their ingredients, so they couldn’t make most of the menu and made no attempt to remedy an issue that they caused.

The food was adequate. The service was horrendous. There is a better place to eat just across the street that I am sure is immensely...

First of all, I would like to say that this is my first time writing a review but the experience was that bad that I take my time to. I visited tonight with 5 other friends and family, I didn't get the waiter's name because she never presented her self to the table. The waiter never let us finish talk I wanted to ask for a beer and I couldn't because she walked off which she did a couple of times. Long story short we return 2 plates we didn't return anymore because we were hungry. The fries were cold and greasy some plates weren't what we asked for. The plates arrived before the drinks and the utensils we actually had to asked for the utensils and the napkins. The food was cold and bad we had to get up a few times because she waiter was lost, an important thing! the place was empty which we couldn't justify the bad service and food. We ended up asking for the manager she arrived at the tell and the first thing she said was (what happened). Not even a good night or presented her self to the table either, no professionalism at all, don't think she was the manager at all. Then questioning us why we eat the food WE WERE HUNGRY and been returning the plates. However, they give us like a 10% discount. When I got up because the waiter stayed long to charge us she asked me what went wrong with her service I then explain because I'm a waiter myself she turns out and told me you know what?l lest leave ititite that because I am not going to getgeto argument with you when were was one that asked the opinion another thing she also told me that she thought we were cool. I WILL NEVER EVER EAT THERE AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND IT...BAD FOOD ALSO BAD SERVICE AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. This is a tourist area and me as a Puerto Rican...

UPDATE- 4/12/23 The owner and CEO reached out to me via email and are working to rectify the situation about the customer service. Their prompt response to me was more than I could ask for and was greatly appreciated. The food here is amazing and we will be back the next time we come to sunny PR!

Our second night in beautiful Puerto Rico, my wife and I stopped in here and were greeted by the nicest most attentive bartender (4/8/23) we could have asked for. He paid attention to us and we got the most amazing tacos and we woke up dreaming about them the next morning. We decided to go back on 4/10/23 and were so horribly disregarded by whomever the next bartender was. He ignored us completely after our first drink order. We ordered the tacos again but had to basically take him away from his conversation with his friends to even get a menu, which he seemed displeased about. My wife asked him 3 times for another beer and he completely ignored her throughout our entire meal. She eventually got so annoyed that she asked the other waitress for our check but was told she couldn't do anything because it was the bartenders order. My wife is a very generous and kind person who usually tips VERY well but because of the service or lack there of we chose to leave this horrible bartender a $0.72 on a...
