HOW RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL! HORRIBLE SERVICE! HORRIBLE FOOD
We have visited this location in the past and was not to bad. Lately it has gotten worse. EXTREMELY slow service even on a Wed night. 30 min wait and 1/3 of the tables empty. They clearly did not have enough servers schedule and the manager was not doing anything to help. I watched several groups leave tired of waiting...I wish we had left and avoided this nightmare.
The server was very short and curt. We told her what appetizer we wanted and was about to tell her a second one when she turned her back and left. I still had the menu open an was talking. That just cost them line item there.
We got out drinks and my cup was all ice and no beverage. I asked for a refill and requested just half ice. She had an attitude and said "what you want me to dump this out?" I said sure just half ice this time please. She brought it back and put down on the table sternly. Apparently they are tight on money and want to serve ice and not beverages.
The food took forever to arrive and was not very good. My wife only eat a portion of her quesadilla salad. The quesadilla was dried out and not flavor. She state she had better ones at Taco Bell. The steak I ordered I knew they would mess it up so I ordered it a temp under what I really wanted and guess what..it worked. I ordered med rare and got a medium. No flavor on the steak no salt or anything just a big drop of garlic butter. The seared shrimp add on was COLD and under cooked. It was suppose to be a hot seared shrimp add on. The skillet mash potato was the only thing that tasted ok.
We decided to order a dessert. We knew the cinnamon bun skillet was not good from a previous visit. So we decided to try the Triple Berry Crumble Cake. Sounds delicious right! The picture on the menu shows an amazing looking dessert with lots of berries all over it and nice crispy crumble top.
Well let me tell you what we got was not even remotely like the picture as I have attached the menu picture an our picture. We call for the manager named Amber. We asked her what dessert this was. I then began to ask where the berries are and she interrupted me and said they are out of berries. I stated that would have been nice to know BEFORE we order a TRIPLE BERRY desert. She got defensive and said she didn't take our order. I explained I know the server should have told us. She then told us, get this..."it only comes with 3 berries anyway" and "the berries don't even make the dessert anyway" WHAT???? How do berries not make a triple berry dessert???
She then tried to convince us to eat it anyway. We told her no we did not want it as I showed her the pic from the table device. She got rude and said with some attitude "REALLY, you don't want this over a couple of berries!?" We said no we don't the whole point of ordering the dessert was we wanted the BERRIES in a triple berry crumble cake desert. She took the item with some attitude and left removing it from our bill.
It great to see on our way out she made it back to her little booth in the bar area sitting down chit chatting with her friends. I would have to think her job might get in the way of her socializing because clearly we as customers did.
One of the worst servers and worst manager I have ever interacted with in the...
Read moreThe coronavirus has changed how we eat meals from our favorite restaurants. Some establishments have worked out a system that makes ordering your meals simple. Others could definitely use improvement. Chili's falls in the latter category. While you can dine-in, if you are brave enough to risk possible infection from Covid-19, you cannot go inside to order To Go food. Not only that but once you tell them you just want to place an order To Go, you are treated as if stepping through their front door is a cardinal sin. You are told to go back out and walk around to the other door on the side of the building. Once you get to that door and walk in over there everyone just stares at you. So you ask "can I place a To Go order here"? You are then told to go to your car and they will bring you a menu. Wow. So to the car we go. 5 mins later an empty handed waitress comes to the window of my car. She asks for our order. I said we were waiting on a menu. She said ok and leaves. We watch her make 4 deliveries over the next 5 minutes before bringing us a menu. However, she said you have to scan it to use it. I'm just looking at her because I do not have a scanner app on my phone. She looks at me and just walks away and I'm not sure what she's planning on doing. I'm ready to leave at this point but my 22 year old Autistic son has his heart set on Chili's so I say nothing and we wait. I decided to see if I could go online and look at the menu. We find it and spend the next 20 minutes looking through an extensive menu, filling out all the info needed to place an order online, we get it placed and paid and we wait. 20 mins later we have our dinner and are headed home. I personally will not return to Chili's now or in the future. The food was mediocre at best, although my son liked his food immensely. All in all, it is the service that was so offputting. So much so that I will take my...
Read moreWe had just driven 8.5 hours to visit my little brother and his family and wanted to have dinner to celebrate my mother's birthday on July 20, 2025 (Sunday night). We arrived at 9:25 PM, and since they close at 11:00 PM, we were hoping for a warm welcome. However, we were not even greeted upon entering, which was surprising because where I live, they always make it a point to greet us.
Then, the manager, a tall white guy (I regret not getting his name), informed us that he couldn't seat us together because we were a group of ten. He said we would have to wait for another group that already had tables put together to finish. He claimed this was due to only one waitress being available in that section. This was remarkably strange; I had never encountered such a situation before. To make matters worse, the other group was already finished and simply chatting. The manager didn't want to put the tables together for us, and I couldn't help but wonder if it was because he thought we might stay past closing time, if he had prejudices about how we looked (we are Mexican-American), or if he simply didn’t want to serve us. I've never had this issue at any other Chili's location, so I'm not sure what his problem was.
If Corporate has access to the video from July 20, 2025, at 9:25 PM or knows who was working at that time, I strongly encourage Chili's to investigate this manager's behavior. I can't believe how poorly we were treated at this location!
Ultimately, we decided to leave and go to Applebee's, which was three miles away. They greeted us immediately, and the vibe was significantly better.
So, if you're considering dining at this Chili's location, I would recommend going to Applebee's instead. The atmosphere is much...
