Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Carrollton

Been coming here for a while. No more after today walked in and they got rude people behind the counter now kids and employees on their cell phones behind the counter. You guys shouldn't even get a damn star. Flat-out rude you guys should be put out a business here in Carrollton for the way that you talk to people and your service sucks not to mention the food was very terrible today. They got rude with me today after calling them out for all on them being on their cell phones while I was waiting for ice. The corporate office was notified and I'm now waiting for the business owner to contact me. The way I see it I walk into a place of business the cell phone should not be in a employees hand or even in the workplace where food is at. All three individuals at this location of are all on their cell phones right behind the counter near the food. Two must have been real employees in the other one must have been a kid at least 15 years or younger maybe Mom and Dad owns the store. Only had to wait because they were on their cell phones what they were looking at I have no clue but there are definitely having a conversation and not paying much attention to me. They felt like they could talk out of the side of their mouth because no one else was in the store. Never again will I step foot at this location or any other Dickey's barbecue location ever again in my lifetime my family or friends will be doing the same we will not tolerate this kind of behavior when coming into a place of business where I spend my money at. This is a franchise location the owner should be ashamed of the service and the way his employees talk to people for being on their phones in general. It's not a good look when you're trying to be a successful business owner in a wonderful community like Carrollton people here respect the way we are treated. I called my credit card dispute line after a few days because I saw no refund. I placed a dispute and the disput department refunded and notified them. If you use Dickeys on Trinty Mills for a to go order, check your order before you leave because if they short you, they won't refund you. Unfortunately, they can not handle 'to go orders.' Three times they have shorted my order. I ordered the XL pack with extra side after I saw how small their sides were now. Then I found out that you only get rolls not buns so I ordered buns because everyone would be using buns. The order was just under $100. They gave me the packed order. When I got home and we were unpacking we discovered they didn't pack the buns. I tried calling several times but they didn't answer. My son went to the store and got buns but guess what, the food was cold by then. I tried calling later after everyone left and the person that answered seemed unable to comprehend that they failed to pack buns and the results were cold food. Paying for food then reheating was not fun. After he finally understood that I paid for something I didn't get, he said I could drive down and he'd refund. I said he should bring it to me or correct it on my charge card. This was the third and LAST time that my order was short. The following review was when they had a different manager or owner. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I’d give this place a 0/5 if I could. We had dinner here yesterday. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm, the bathrooms were nasty. The food was mostly inedible. I got the 3 meat plate with brisket, jalapeño sausage and turkey. The sausage tasted boiled, was mushy had no smoke flavor and no snap. It’s color should have been a warning to me. The brisket was dry and lacked smoked flavor. The turkey was moist, but bland. The potato salad and coleslaw were on the warm side. I cannot imagine they were cold enough to meet the health code. My daughter got a kids meal of chicken nuggets and fries. They were horrible! We had to return them and instead, got chicken breast and mashed potatoes. She wouldn’t eat the chicken, so I tasted it. It’s not smoked chicken. It’s seasoned chicken…and not very good at that. It was moist, but the flavor of the spices was terrible! I ended up throwing most of our food away as we left. I’ll never punish myself here again.
