I would've excused their terrible service if they had decent food but their food was TERRIBLE. There was dirty food over one of the water cups and the table wasn't properly cleaned. Also, the extra glass bowls they gave us were all chipped and broken. My family ordered their jjamppong and jjajangmyeon and both tasted so bad. The jjajangmyeon was the worst I've ever tasted. And it was so obvious they added ramen powder to the jjamppong, I was at loss for words. I had never tasted food so trashy from a restaurant. Not only that but my food came out late and when the lady served it to me SHE REACHED OVER ME AND MOVED A BOWL OF HOT NOODLES NEAR MY FACE WITHOUT EVEN SAYING SOMETHING SO I WOULD KNOW SHE WAS THERE and she proceeded to slam the bowl over me. Also the old man there cleaning up the tables left the dirty tray full of all the used foods right next to our table. I was appalled by their terrible service and I felt like we were being treated like trash. But seriously DO NOT EAT HERE THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. Our experience here ruined our entire night...
Read moreI was a little hesitant to try this place when I read a few negative reviews after a change in ownership. My wife and I decided to have lunch recently and we were very happy with the food and the service.
For lunch, we ordered the Combo #4 (which is half jajiangmyeon and half tangsuyuk) and the samsun ganjajiang (similar to jajiangmyeon but freshly made to order with sautéed seafood and lots of onions).
Everything was delicious. The jajiangmyeon was good with ample amount of gravy and noodles. The tangsuyuk was fried to a perfect crisp and was served with a dipping sauce on the side. The ganjajiang was the standout. The noodles were nicely chewy, sauce was less heavy, and had plenty of seafood pieces.
The self-serve condiment bar has the yellow radish, sliced raw onions, water, and the utensils.
For those of you who were hesitant due to a change in ownership should give them a try. We thought the food was delicious and the prices/portions...

This place was recommended to me by a good friend who is Korean so I really valued his opinion on good Korean flavors. However, I was always partial to Paik’s because I had it first there but as luck would have it, they were closing when we arrived (7:30pm) so we decided to walk over to Dong Chun Hong to try their jajangmyeon and sweet & sour pork combo. OH. MY. GOODNESS. It was absolutely incredible!!! Literally every single piece of pork was perfectly crispy, light, & delicious! LITERALLY EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. The noodles of the jajangmyeon were cooked to Al dente and the #3 combo was the perfect portion for a very hungry person. Paired with the yellow radish and sprinkle on some of the spice they provide at each table and you have yourself the best meal ever!!! 100000/10 will come again!!!!
It’s kind of hidden (to me) near/under singbox in Carrollton and it’s a must-try if you enjoy black bean...
