La Salsa Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Carson City

My family and I stopped at La Salsa Grill before heading back home to the Bay Area. Unfortunately we had problems from start and finish. We sat down, received our drinks and straws. On one of the straws, the paper was missing on one of the ends. Being careful and not knowing where the straw has been or touched we asked for another straw. The waitress said “You have one right here!” She then picked up the same straw and completely took the paper off and set the straw on the bare table and walked away. I gave my straw to my sister and took the chance drinking from the cup.

The waitress came back and took our order. It seemed like a process on taking our order. We aren’t the world’s pickiest eaters but there is stuff we do/don’t want in/on our food. After giving our order nice and slow to make sure there is no mistakes the waitress left.

After 10 minutes or so we received our food, only to find out that 3/5 were made correctly. Which is completely frustrating. I order a Torta with only 2 ingredients: Meat & Lettuce that’s it! To my surprise I got my 2 ingredients followed with tons of refined beans( I HATE BEANS). So I took one for the team and just ate my food so we can get out of there as soon as possible. My dad’s food was messed as well.

A gentleman came to how we were doing after being finished with our food. We informed him on the food situation and he said “Ok”. That’s all.

We went to go pay the bill thinking there would be some type of adjustment due to the food being messed up. After receiving the bill there wasn’t a single adjustment. We were blown away. No sorry, no adjustment, just took our money and said “Thank You”.

I’m not the biggest of giving low rating reviews, I was very hesitant on writing a review but I feel people need to be aware of what can happen. But also the restaurant can make changes to make sure this doesn’t happen again to...

I had a craving for a bowl of ramen. Sadly they're closed on Sundays. I had a look at this place's prices on my phone and decided to eat here instead. I don't regret my choice!

I ordered 5 Carne Asada tacos. They come with these classic garnishes: a moderately spicy salsa, diced onion, and cilantro. That's precisely what I was hoping for!

The meat is tender and marinated well. The flavor stands out. Every bite is mouthwatering!

The downside is that sometimes there's some gristle (tough meat), but I would say that's rare. A little gristle doesn't bother me in the least. Only one in five had any.

The chips and salsa that I was served were delicious as well! The chips were firm and tasted fresh and made in house, not greasy. Nor were the tacos. The salsa was delightful. I highly enjoyed the whole simple meal.

I also had a Raspberry Iced Tea to re-hydrate and recharge. It was very refreshing!

It's definitely worth taking the time to eat here!

Used to be my favorite burrito. Last 3 times I grabbed takeout they messed up my order. I called them once I got home and said I'd return to get proper order if I had to but was frustrated as I live 20 minutes away. He said he'd keep receipt and I could come in and they would make it right. I went in today and was talked down to by owner/manager. Said he would do it but continued to berate me about how the order was written down, that I probably ate it anyway, and that he'd never redo an order again without bringing food back. I get it but I specifically asked if i needed to do just that when the initial order was messed up and i had called!! ... I left and won't be back. Not looking for a handout and won't be spoken to in that way. Worst customer service experience I've...
