Every time I come into this restaurant I am frustrated! Tonight I tried to call in my order (repeatedly) so they were not inconvenienced bc it was late and they were to close in 25 minutes! But no answer! Since I called numerous times I knew it was intentional so I sped over to order in person only to be told they didn't serve hamburgers then bc they closed the grill! Oh, but I could get some chicken; but no beef! It then was revealed they were short staffed! The young man apologized for not answering the phone but exp- lained (again) they were short staffed & just as I suspected, they do not answer the phone bc they don't want more busin- ess! He said when they are short staffed they 'sometimes' close early! I could understand if they were swamped & busy! But I got the impression it was MOST of the time and just making excuses to go home! While he apologized for not answering the phone he explained their efforts & attention was on 'finishing up' the earlier orders! But as far as I could tell there were no 'other orders they were 'working' on to 'finish up! No 'to go' orders waiting to be picked up! In fact, the cook and the other employee were standing around chatting! Apparently just waiting to officially close! The young cashier explained they were 'on break.' (15 minutes before closing) & the manager had just left! I mentioned to him I had wanted a burger and had especially driven over to get a smash burger; not chicken! I told him that people expect you to be open the hours that you advertise! (Meaning open and prepared to cook) Not hurry ing to close and I pointed out if he had answered the phone when I had called 25 minutes earlier the order would have been wait ing for me and it wouldn't have interfered with 'their closing.' He told me sorry (once again) as he again explained; their efforts are toward 'finishing' earlier orders and NOT taking new orders bc they are under staffed! (Closing early while still open) Ugh! It was evident to me they simply wanted to close early and it appeared they did it routinely! Feeling entitled! I was shocked at their attitudes! I mean the cook and other employee were just standing around talking! Not over worked! Hustling to finish orders! They weren't working at all! They were just waiting to officially close! I expressed; this is no way to run a business! I just need to keep myself from going back to be repeatedly disappointed! The hamburgers are great...if you don't mind such poor service and can catch them at a good time and they are willing to...

I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Smashburger in the city of Carson, and I must say, it was a truly smashing experience from start to finish. The convenience of online ordering coupled with the speed at which my food was prepared made for a seamless and satisfying experience.
Despite the slight delay in reaching the restaurant, I was delighted to find that the food was still piping hot upon my arrival. I wasted no time in indulging in my chosen feast: the DOUBLE SMOKED BACON BRISKET BURGER with an extra patty and a large order of Smashfries.
The burger itself was a true masterpiece. The juicy patties combined with the tender and flavorful smoked bacon brisket created a mouthwatering symphony of tastes. I had initially been concerned that the cheese would overpower the overall flavor profile of the burger, but I was pleasantly surprised. The cheese complemented the other ingredients perfectly, allowing each component to shine while harmonizing beautifully together.
Now, let's talk about the fries. Oh, those Smashfries! They were a revelation. The moment I took a bite, I knew they were unlike any other fries I had ever tasted. The flavor was exceptional, elevating them far beyond the status of mere burger accompaniments. Normally, I tend not to finish my fries, considering them secondary to the main event, but I found myself devouring every last one. They were simply that good.
I must also commend the staff at Smashburger for their exceptional customer service. Upon leaving, I found myself momentarily confused by the exit gate. The kind gentleman at the counter noticed my predicament and took the time to explain its operation, ensuring a smoother experience for my next visit. Although I regret not obtaining his name, his helpfulness left a lasting impression.
In summary, my experience at Smashburger was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of prompt service, delectable food, and attentive staff made for a memorable dining experience. I will undoubtedly be returning to savor their mouthwatering...
Read moreThe burger was really good, it wasn't smashed thin enough though and didn't have the crispy edges associated with a smashburger which was what I was craving. They seemed to be short staffed so the food took quite a while. There were only two people working the front and they were grinding, I honestly felt bad for them. A rush of people came all at once. The poor waitress was running orders and preparing milkshakes and had to go in and out of the kitchen, then there was a delivery pick up that nobody told her about, and the people kept coming and asking where their order was like couldn't see these people busting their butts trying to get all these orders out. The cashier had to go into the kitchen and help cook, then come out and serve the food too. Eventually they got everything done, so all's well that ends well. We got our food and enjoyed our meal. The bathroom is one at a time and really drab compared to the newness of the restaurant. It was a little weird, like they chose not to renovate it. They need someone there to clean while everyone is cooking. There was a spill under the table and food on the seats and floor near where we sat.
Tldr: Food is good, but not a real smashburger. They...
