Super disappointed in coming here. Came to see our friend play live music. First off we had 3 waitresses and none of them knew it or communicated with each other. You’d think with that many waitresses we would have had excellent service. WRONG. We ordered doubles of crown because it was on special and everything was sooooo watered down. I bartend and I know how a double tastes and looks like. The waitresses continually forgot about us (a table of 6!) and then we ordered nachos and fried pickles to share and she brought 2 plates....seriously lady? She forgot our drink order and after 15 minutes I went to the bar because there were only 3 other tables taken in the entire restaurant. It wasn’t busy y’all. It never is here. And then one of the other waitresses came over and said the other girl had apparently left and never ordered our drinks. Cool. Ordered drinks. Took another 10 for them to come out and she forgot my friends beer. Another 10 minutes and still nothing. We flag her down and he asks about his beer and she goes “okay I’ll go get it” like no apology or “oh wow I’m so sorry!”?! Nothing. I won’t be coming back here. No wonder it isn’t busy. Terrible service, forgotten drinks, and rude staff don’t make me want to come back no matter what music or drink special you have. Also maybe don’t put the trash can next to the table of 6 so we have to listen to the musician and you emptying the trash. If I’m not mistaken, that’s a health code violation to have trash that close to where food is served... just a tip from a...
Read moreThis has been a favorite of ours for 20+ years. Always our go-to for wings and always highly recommended to our friends over the years. BUT they've ruined the wing experience. A friend of mine, who I turned on to Woody's years ago and he has always been a huge fan, reported to me a couple of months ago he and a group stopped by for wings only to find out that they were no longer buying normal sized wings. He said they were tiny. He even sent me pictures to show how miniscule they were. He said when he asked the wait staff about it they were indifferent. He reached out to management and got the brush-off. I figured it was probably just a temporary supply-and-demand issue and certainly they would shift back to serving the wings that they were famous for once supply loosened up. Here we are two months later and they are serving the same tiny wings. Tiny as in more bone than meat. Tiny as in the size of my pinky finger. At a price break? Nope. Supply issue? There's no way. My other two go-to places for wings never shifted to the smaller wings. They are still serving the normal-sized wings, so I know it's not supply issue.
I've spread the word to all of our friends who go there for wings and nobody will be back until we get some sort of confirmation that they have shifted back to normal sized wings.
To make matters worse, the tater tots were soggy. 😥
The wait staff, as always, is still great.
It truly saddens me to have to write this review because we have loved this place so much...
Read moreI live down the street in walking distance and have been going to woodys for atleast a decade. They used to have really good vegan and vegetarian options and even though it was bar food it was freshly made using in-house ingredients. Now the pimento cheese grilled cheese is gone and so is the black bean burger. Fried pickle chips gone. Sweet potato tots gone. Blue cheese chips gone. The vegetarian options are now super limited. They replaced it with impossible burgers so that means my options are french fries or fake meat or salad. Like what happened to the black bean burger? I can’t imagine that impossible burgers are cheaper than beans. We used to get the black bean burger because it was hand padded and made with fresh ingredients but now it’s gone so we rarely go to Woody’s anymore. Other than that the owner is pretty cool with the exception of that patio they got halfway built. Apparently it’s in limbo because Sean didn’t get the right permits to build. My other issue is the live music. If you had a band you could talk to Sean or the manager and he would sign you up to play on weekends but now they only hire through a staffing agency which is not cool bc a staffing agency take 20% and it’s barely enough to pay the band. It is privately owned so that a plus. It’s a sports bar so if you wanna watch sports and eat meat this place is probably good for you! Otherwise I’d skip the uncomfortable seating and go...
