I was in your restaurant on Mother's day. It had been raining outside, and the floor inside the door was slick. I fell, cracking my head on the table/bar bolted to the wall right inside the door. Thankfully there was a very kind family sitting nearby that helped me as I was sitting on the floor kind of stunned after it happened. One of the family members offered me a chair so that I could get up off the foor in the doorway, and when I went to try and get up I noticed my head was bleeding quite a bit. At this point one of them went to get me napkins, and only at this point (about 3-5 minutes after the accident occurred) did a member of the staff come over to see if we needed anything. (It was not that busy yet - there were 2 people in line and no one came in the door in the 15ish minutes I was there and injured). She asked me if I wanted water or ice. I said I didn't know. She got closer to my face and asked louder if I wanted water or ice. I told her I understood her, repeated her offer, and said I didn't know what needed to happen - I was just trying to pick up my online order when Islipped and got hurt. She got my name (that's important later) and came back with my order and a bag of ice. Both the mom of the family that helped me and I said they needed to put a mat at the door, that it was really slippery. The employee said, "we don't have mats because of covid." The mom said, "well how about one of those slippery floor signs?" The employee said, gesturing into the store, "they're up there... let me know if you need anything" and walked away. That's the last we saw of her. Meanwhile the family trying to enjoy their own dinner tended to me, checked my head wound to see if I needed to go get stitches. The mom said, "I can't believe they aren't having you fill out an accident report - that's what we'd have to do at my job." I said the same at mine. After sitting about 10 minutes, I decided to go - my cognition was fine, I was able to stand and walk, and as long as I kept the napkins and ice on my head, it wasn't bleeding quite as much. The dad of the family took my food bag and walked me out to my car. He asked to check my head again and said that it didn't look too deep, but he was a little concerned about my 30 minute drive home. I assured him I'd be fine, and I immediately took some ibuprofen and went home.
I had a lot more to say, but exceeded character limit. Summary, filled out your contact us, order was placed online, loyalty club member... you have my contact information and my incident report. Zero contact from TJ's. Feel free to call me and I'll tell you about my trip to urgent care and my concussion. And prevent this from happening to others by putting the mats back in your restaurant - urgent care had...
Read moreTokyo Joes in Castle Rock really dropped the ball on Mother's Day. I submitted an online curbside pickup order at 5:26pm and my confirmation email stated the order would be ready at 5:43pm. I arrived about 5:45 and called. The nice girl that answered stated they were busier than expected and it would be awhile for our order. She estimated possibly another 15 minutes. I had no problem waiting, and I didn't want to be a nuisance as they were busy, but after a full hour passed from my initial order I decided to call back at 6:26pm and check the status. The employee told me that the order had been ready, but he didn't know which car was mine. I was literally sitting right outside the front door in the car I stated on my order. No phone call and nobody even attempted to come out the front door to look for my car. Another employee quickly brought out my order and I headed home. When I got home I realized the entire order was incomplete. My son's bowl had no sauce included so he had to eat it dry. My wife's General Joes soup was missing the egg and was cold. We had to heat it in the microwave. My daughter's order was missing the cookie which I was fine with but she would argue was the most important item, and my Bahn Mi bowl was cold and missing a few ingredients. I regularly eat at Tokyo Joes and I understand that they were busy, but I was really disappointed...
Read moreWent back today to try a poke bowl with a different mix and this time i ended up puking it up and feeling very dizzy- my partner went inside to inform them of what had just happened and they didnt bother to do a thing other than tell her: "sorry we cant do anything since he ate the bowl, we checked the fish earlier and it was okay"
Look, clearly i got up and didnt even finish my bowl and went to their restroom immediately. Came back out and sat down informed my partner we needed to go and that i was already starting to feel more ill. (Just so happened to feel that RIGHT after just barely finishing the bowl- coincidence right?) I guess people magically get sick before they eat the meal that made them feel terrible?
Went here a few times and never had an issue till today. Poor customer service to assume that it was on me when that was the first meal i had eaten all day and i just so happen to feel that after not even finishing the bowl. Will not be coming back. Denvers tokyo joes is...
