Walked into this place after dropping off my car to a friend mechanic right behind Meester Zebras and waiting for a ride. I decided to order a coffee while i waited and the staff were pleasantly hospitable. I fixed my coffee and sat outside. Shortly after a older gentleman walked up into the Cafe, ordered some ribs and sat a table over from me outside....I gotta say, if they taste remotely close to the aroma they were producing, then those ribs are incredible. WoW! The staff kept coming back to check on how i and the gentlemen with the ribs were doing. I did order a bacon and cheese omelet for my daughter who was on the way to pick me up, which btw...she said were very delicious. I am glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem on Perez Rd in Cathedral City and will definitely come back to sit down and have a proper meal. The fact that this place was featured on Guy Fierri's show "Diners, Drive Ins & Dives is besides the point as I'm sure it could hold its own w the customers that came to dine in and those who left with orders of food in the hands.

So let me start by saying I was not impressed that this place was on Guy Fieri show. We didn’t know anything about this until the owner decided to tell us that he doesn’t advertise it but tells people if they ask. We didn’t ask, he thought my husband was looking at the signed picture on the wall above the menu. But based on the taste of the food and the basic/ non existent service I wouldn’t brag about being on a cooking show. Now about the food. My husband ordered the Chilaquiles for breakfast and said they were basic. He was not very impressed based off of how we cook Hispanic food and my husband being Hispanic stated we can make that better at home.. I ordered the huevos Ranchero, which I was completely disappointed in the beans were liquidy and runny. The sauce had no flavor. There was no meat. I would’ve never ordered it if I would’ve known that they did not have meat. I’m used to getting shredded beef at least with it.

Such a great establishment. Warmly welcomed the minute you walk in the door. Great menu and phenomenal food. Staff, owner and fellow customers (appear to be regulars) are very helpful. I can’t rate it high enough. The owner has a great sense of humour and is such a thoughtful individual, who was interested in learning the food specialties where we are from and took time to warmly thanked us as we were leaving. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. If you haven’t tried it yet, get going. It’s phenomenal. The brisket on Saturday is amazing!!!

Let me just say that my husband and I like two things when we go out...good food AND great service. Today, we had both. After taking our motorhome in for service, we decided to try Meester Zebra. We are so happy we did! It's was early so we both ordered breakfast. We had the pancake breakfast that included eggs your style, bacon, ham, or sausage. My husband had bacon and I had ham. Kyle prefers his bacon "extra crispy" which usually is brought out burnt. Not this time. His bacon looked as if I cooked it myself. I chose ham, the best smokey ham quarter slice i've had in a very long time. If you're a ham eater, you understand what I mean. The coffee was as good or better than any coffee shop! And I know my coffee. There menu is large and there is something for everyone. One more thing...the service was outstanding. One of the co-owners "Jr." was our server. He gave us a history of the restaurant and the best service. He is knowledgeable and friendly. They serve bbq on Saturday and we were told they always run out...so please call in your order. If you're ever in Cat City, try Meester Zebra, you won't be...
