The Roost Lounge — Restaurant in Cathedral City

The Roost is a very unique gay bar. Bright interior, big windows, open patios on both sides, and a newly renovated stage for entertainment. Come for drinks and then have dinner, though there is no real kitchen here. There is an Italian restaurant next door, with menus, so you can order dinner and it's brought to your table. This place is growing in popularity and is not always the best for a drop-in-drink. Sometimes the place is full because of big groups or entertainment. This is a great little neighborhood bar that is popular with locals because of their fair prices, great drinks, and weeknight entertainment. We visited on a Tuesday night, which was Karaoke night, and the place was packed. They have food menus available from Trilussa and Capizzi’s, which are both close by. There are several good vegetarian options on those menus. It is a popular bar for gay men, but lots of straight people and women are regulars, also. We visited the Roost Lounge during their Boys and Girls Club charity auction and it was an outstanding evening. Not only did they raise a lot of money for the club, the whole evening was fun. My wife and I both ordered dinner, and were happy to see the Roost menu was actually from Trilussa and King Thai which are neighboring restaurants to the Roost.
