My husband and I decided on our long drive home to stop for a break at Cave City Subway Kentucky. We have stopped a couple times before and hadn’t really ever had a issue. We decided to stop yesterday evening 9-20-20. I had already placed our order through the app and it was ready when we got there. He got a steak and cheese footlong with extra cheese and I got the chicken teriyaki with extra cheese. But not even a mile down the road my husband said he didn’t taste cheese in his steak and cheese. So I looked through it, even taking my finger and moving the meat and veggies. No cheese. On a CHEESE AND STEAK SANDWICH. So I decided to look at mine also and there was no cheese. Shocker. But, all in a happy mood we decided it wasn’t a big deal, we would just go back and have them put cheese on, plus the EXTRA cheese we had both ordered on our sandwiches. Now tell me if I’m correct; regular 12’ is 4 half slices, totaling 2 on a footlong; extra cheese would be 8 half slices, totaling 4 whole slices on a footlong. When we pulled back up to the drive through to ask them for our cheese the employee asked the issue. My husband told him that they forgot the cheese. The employee proceeded to get an attitude and say “No I didn’t”. I then spoke up and told him I had used my finger to dig through both sandwiches. And not only was there no extra cheese that we paid an extra $1.60 for (ridiculous), but we didn’t even get the regular cheese. He looked at me, very hateful and said “I KNOW I DIDNT FORGET THE CHEESE!” . Some employee u got there. Anyways, I then asked for his manager, he said they wasn’t there. So I asked for the managers phone number. He said he didn’t know or have it. Tell me, if your store is burning down don’t u want your employees to be able to contact u? He did offer to make us new sandwiches but at that point I KNEW he would spit in them or something nasty that y’all do to customers who have a complaint. I told him no thanks, I didn’t want his nasty spit in my food. So, headed home with no cheese on a STEAK AND CHEESE SANDWICH was very unappetizing for my husband. I threw mine in the trash because at that point I had 0 appetite. Word of advice; RETRAIN your employees about courtesy and respect and then maybe I might stop back in. Read moreI have never received as terrible service as I did at this Subway anywhere else in my life. I first pulled up to the drive thru since I had my kids in the back, I thought it would have made life quite a bit easier to not have to get out. After a few minutes of nothing over the intercom, even after I said "hello", I pulled into a stop and decided to go in with our orders written down. I get in line behind 5 people, the first 3 were already finishing up their sandwiches on the veggie line, and the other 2 were just starting. Normally this wouldn't take too long to get taken care of, so I stood patiently waiting my turn to put my order in. Once the first portion of the last 2 orders was taken care of, 1 of the 2 workers disappears. Not a big deal, they might have had to take an urgent bathroom break or something might have been cooking behind the scenes, I didn't think much of it. The first 3 people are now done and have paid. The other 2 customers’ sandwiches were still in the oven, so the worker still remaining comes down my way. Now, at this point, I have been waiting around 10 minutes. I step up to the glass, and I go ahead and tell the lady that I have 4 sandwiches to order. She gave me the most evil "how dare you make me work" glares that I have ever seen. I then looked her dead in the eyes and said "never mind then, I can take my business elsewhere", which she then tried to apologize and I said "no thank you, I can tell I'm not welcome here", and left. I door dashed subway because I simply just didn’t wanna get out and take all of the kids if I didn’t have to I get my order open the sandwiches and the toppings are all wrong completely swapped only one sandwich didn’t even have any cheese at all on it. So after paying door dash fees and a tip I STILL have to get in my car load all the kids up and go to cave city subway to have my sandwiches corrected. They take forever to come to to the speaker actually they didn’t I drove up to the window and started knocking a young girl then comes to the window “I’m so sorry” I said umm yeah I had a door dash order these sandwiches are all wrong everything is swapped she said ok I’ll remake these for you free of charge obviously 🤯 i said ok thanks. She comes back to the window and says “ so I told them you wanted your sandwiches re made but they wanna know if you want your sandwiches remade I laughed and said YES. THEY ARE WRONG. I am just mind blown. Where are the managers? I will not be coming back to this subway I have used them several times and I always sit in the drive through for 35 mins or longer but this has DONE IT for me. RANT OVER.
