They deserve ZERO stars! My experience was a very disrespectful one and caused some emotional damage, and it took a couple of days to write this review. On 5/1/2023 I was seated by myself, three couples were seated a few minutes after me. The couples were kindly greeted, brought baskets of biscuits and their drinks, before I was even acknowledged. A few more minutes went by and I'm still sitting there. A gentleman at another table took it upon himself to go and inform staff that I had been sitting there without service for approximately 10 minutes by this time. Eventually a young man came to my table, apologized for my wait and asked for my order in a very disgusted tone of voice. When he brought my drink he slammed it on the table where it slid and some of it spilled, and walked off. The manager came and apologized for the "mix up" of table assignments and "reassured me that my meal will be out before anyone else's", in which it wasn't. When my food came, after the others had been served, once again the server slammed the dish on the table, slid the basket of biscuits, and asked if I needed something else. The order was wrong, so I had to ask another server for things missing. When he came to the table he said he thought I said something different but I ordered the meal with no special requests. His continued rudeness was concerning and I felt like he may have done something to my food, because he turned around and perked up to introduce himself to the patrons being seated behind me, had jovial conversation while taking their drink order. I asked a different server for my ticket to leave, not eating more than one bite. I was given apologies for the wait, didn't pay for the food, but the way I was treated changed my thoughts about Cracker Barrel. I was a black woman, by myself, surrounded by white patrons, and I was treated as if I wasn't welcomed there. I was not...
Read moreI've always been happy with the service from Cracker Barrel, until now. We've eaten in and ordered take out several times from this Cracker Barrel and have always been happy. Unfortunately the food quality and order being correct has been a huge fail this last year. Around April we ate in and the service was good but food was not. Portions were small, food was dry & 3 steaks burnt. We had asked for medium rare. Server and manager agreed food was not properly prepared & there was no problem with correcting order. August we ordered food (over phone), it was All overcooked, dry, missing food and 1 complete dinner was not in any of the bags. Spoke with manager and he took name and offered to replace dinner and missing items. This last take out (3rd time is a charm ... nope), ordered dinners for 4 people. 75% of the order was incorrect. What we had was dry ( the new norm it seems now) And there was a Crazy amount of Fried Apples! I mean enough for 8 people, at least. Was at a complete loss as to why. We didn't bother to call. My family enjoys eating at Cracker Barrel (30 minutes from home) but won't be eating from here again, despite the servers and manager being friendly & welcoming. We're completely understanding of staff shortages, having an off day etc., but it's not acceptable when spending money (around $400 I believe, last 3) on food you expect to enjoy. Reading the reviews I see a trend in the last year of the quality of food becoming worse. People are spending their hard earned money here and deserve to get what Cracker Barrel is normally known for ... Good home like,...
Read moreI called him my order The person taken my order repeated it back to me. When I got there I had 4 orders of chicken and dumplings. They forgot to put 2 sweet potatoes steak fries and apples in my bag. I asked them to put back in my bag what I was supposed to get. Waited 10 to 15 minutes for 2 potatoes. I said OK where are my steak fries and apples. Then the manager commenced to tell me that the potatoes were not on the receipt As if that had something to do with my steak fries and fried apples that were on the receipt and not in the Bag. So he goes and gets Steak fries and fried apples. I get home and to my surprise everything is cold and pretty much unedible. We ate what we could because when I called back the same manager Told me that it was all put in the bag at the same time which was a lie because he knew he was the one bringing me the stuff and said well if you just come and bring everything you got back I'll replace it for you as if I wanted to spend another 2 hours waiting on dinner. I said thank you and Goodbye and that was it. I will not be back. I have said this before but I mean it this time. When he was coming out to talk to another customer that had been waiting outside for their pickup quarter to be brought to their car. He blamed the staff in the kitchen. Quote I have a New Girl in the kitchen. Qualities of a good supervisor is to accept responsibility for the job you have and to lead your workers to do the best of their ability. Yes I'm a nurse but I'm a nurse but i'mf Cracker Barrel needs a new supervisor for the restaurant...
