Bar Winslow — Restaurant in Cedar Falls

People with allergies: Beware! Tonight I went to Bar Winslow with a group of friends to celebrate. While there a friend offered to buy me a drink. I read through the menu looking for a drink that could accommodate my allergies, to which I thought I found. When I ordered my drink I had to step outside the room as citrus was being used for other drinks (very normal for me to have to do) but then my friend saw lemon being put into my drink and looked at me and said "Is there lemon in your drink?" And I said "Oh no, there shouldn't be its not listed on the menu" and the bartender said "but there is" and I said " But it doesnt say that in the ingredients?" To which he replied "Well there is". This was not only a rude experience but an incredibly dangerous one. What is the point of listing what is in the drink and picking and choosing what to include on the menu but serving people whatever you want. This is incredibly irresponsible and I was honestly shocked by the response of the bartender and the condescension that I was spoken down too with. Unless my friend had caught that we all would have an had incredibly bad night, bar staff included. I hope in the future you list ALL ingredients on your menu or none at all if it is expected to ask because listing the ingredients gives the implication that ALL ingredients are listed. Reviewing places is my hobby and I hate to have to leave a bad review but this was the worst bar experince I have ever had and I do not recommend this place if what matters on the menu is important to you and your well being. I just wanted one drink with my son and thought we'd try this new place...however, I'm not sure our community is ready for $12 drink menus....especially during Happy Hour. I am definitely not. If I wanted super pricey drinks I'd go to a really big city, where you expect that sort of thing. My rating is for priciness alone, as we did not stay to have anything.
