Carlos O'Kelly's - Cedar Rapids 2 — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

So i was wanting tex mex food and being from Texas and working at one of the best tex mex restaurants ( Chuy's) there i was definitely craving some food. I didn't look at the reviews because everyone's taste is different so i wanted to try it for myself. It was my children and me and being an ex waitress i love to see how people treat me because i have kids or if you have a true heart and thats what i tip you for off of your service, and this women was stubborn. To the food we got chips and salsa and the chips were over crispy and not salted and the salsa i got was okay. I ordered fajita's for two to take home to my fiance and got my kids to share a kids fajita because there light eaters and got them an extra side. The kids portion was excellent but on my combo fajita's my chicken portion was just as much as my kids gotten and then the steak made bout 3 tacos max which none of it was seasoned and my fiance later complained that his steak had too much fat on it. On top of that i had no rice and beans with my fajita's and im like i paid $24 for 5 tacos like WHAT! I was truly upset, got my check and packed up my stuff and seen i got charged for an extra side(2 sides total) which was supposed to be with my kids meal, then with chips and all walked out with 4 different things to carry and no bag was offered. I got no thank you walking out so i just feel they need to learn to season, cook and learn portions, and customer service. On top of that ate my food the next day and found a bone in my fajita chicken... let's say i will never...

THIS RESTAURANT IS DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY!

If I could give zero stars, I would. They've had duct tape on the seating for several years now trying to hide the holes and worn out seats. We stopped in July 3rd(around 2:30 PM) and there was food on the floor at every table. We were told they were between shifts was the reason why the restaurant was so filthy.

Went into the restroom and it was no better. There was(I don't know what) on the floor and stuck on the walls. The urinals weren't clean either.

We left the restaurant and called the manager on duty. She was completely unconcerned and gave the same excuse about them being between shifts as to why the restaurant was so filthy.

If the dining room and restrooms were in such bad condition, I'd hate to see what the kitchen looks like.

There is NO EXCUSE for a filthy restaurant! Management obviously doesn't care cuz it shows in the cleanliness of this restaurant.

This particular Carlos O'Kellys has gone downhill in recent years. We WILL NOT be going back.

I hope the health department shuts this place down BEFORE someone gets sick.

So sad this place has really gone downhill. We went there Saturday afternoon, so they were not busy at all. There were probably 6 tables in our area alone that had piles of dishes and not cleaned off and sat that way the entire time we were there. It looked like a party with kids had been there with chips all over the floor where you walk and they sat there the entire time as well. Our waitress, while very nice and friendly, was so busy she really didn't stop by our table more than 3 times the entire visit. Once to get us drinks, once to take our food order and the last time to get the bill. Our food was brought out by someone else. I got 2 enchiladas with rice. 17 years ago, I could get this meal to go in college for about 8.99 and could eat on it for a week! Now it's at least doubled in price and these enchiladas were the size of my finger!!! So small. Almost like street taco size. The chicken was so dry it was hard to swallow. My husband got Pasta Diablo and there were only 3 pieces of meat in it total. We had a few bites of each meal and left the rest. We are so sad about our last 2 experiences there as this was always a place we had loved in the past. Very...
