I've been to this location twice and everything was absolutely perfect, our waiter, the food, the drinks, the service all of it! 5 out of 5 stars. But the other day I went in for a quick drink with chips and salsa and everything was going great until we got to our second round of salsa. I found a living ant buried in my salsa!! The ant eventually died, but it was moving around and I got video of it. My boyfriend told the waiter, and he did say he was sorry, but that was it, we paid and left. But am here thinking no manager ever came the table to speak with us on the matter, nor to apologize. And not to mention I dont even know if they stopped serving that salsa to the other customers! Here's a screenshot of the video I took. Google doesn't let me upload a video sorry.

Hit or miss. We ordered Tacos Al Pastor and they served it not only with shredded instead of grilled pork but also with no pineapple and salsa. They told us upon serving the dish that they don’t have all the ingredients to prepare Al Pastor. Why would they not warn us when we were ordering it? We asked for replacement and ordered a steak burrito but instead got one with ground beef. I don’t know if they have new, inexperienced staff or they just don’t care anymore but after all these years it’s time to look for a new Mexican restaurant. I don’t think we will be back.

If I could give this place a score of 20, I would do it!! It wasn't busy and there were only 3 people running the restaurant that evening, because of people not showing up for work or cashing in, but it was awesome. The person that sat us down is the same person that waited on us, brought our meals, took care of our drinks, visited and seemed to care about us, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was AWESOME, but the customer service was the best. He took a not so good situation and made it good for us.

I love On The Border, but I won’t be returning to this location.

We were seated right away and told our server would be with us shortly. After about 5-10 minutes, another staff member came back and said he would be our server instead since the original one was brand new. No problem. We ordered queso and guac to start, which took a bit longer than expected, but nothing too concerning.

When our server took our order, we waited about 20-25 minutes for our food—only for it to come out completely wrong. We ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas but received chicken and steak instead. Our tacos, which we had requested with modifications (no beans and some toppings removed), came out exactly as they normally would, with none of the changes made.

At this point, our server was nowhere to be found, so we asked the new girl—who, honestly, was the only saving grace of this experience. She was doing her best to fix the mistakes, even though they weren’t hers. Since we had already waited so long and were hungry, we just kept the fajitas. I sent the tacos back to be fixed, and when they returned a few minutes later… they were still wrong.

At this point, we had been there for over an hour and 15 minutes—during lunch on a Friday, with only 2-3 other tables in the entire restaurant. I had the tacos packed to go but guess what still came out incorrect.

It wasn’t just one mistake; it was a series of small, avoidable issues that added up. The poor service, lack of attention to detail, and overall experience just weren’t worth it.

if you do go to this location ask for savannah she was great, she may be new but seemed to know what she was doing better than...

This was so bad that it was sad. I called my mother 25 minutes before I arrived to meet her and my daughter and told her if she was already there to order without me and I would order to go if needed. When I arrived at the restaurant, my mother and daughter had chips and salsa, but none of the drinks they had ordered; my daughter a blue blast, and 2 adult waters. The server arrived with a kids water, adult water, but no blue blast. My mom ordered her and I frozen sangria and pointed to the picture of the drink when she did. 10 minutes went by, and the server delivered 2 bar drinks to us, but they were on the rocks and different drinks. My mother asked why, and he said the blender was broken. Though he had not explained this to us prior to serving us the drinks, we still accepted them, and we were finally able to order food. The service was slow, but there were less than a handful of tables, and the server just seemed distracted watching the TVs and approaching the wrong table at times. Our meals arrived, and at one point, the server dropped a frozen blue blast in front of my daughter without any explanation (I guess the blender fairy visited the bar) At this point I could see the steam coming out of my mother's ears, but we both have backgrounds working in the restaurant and we were just waiting for a manager to touch the table at one point to turn this experience around, but unfortunately we never saw one after spending over an hour there. Doug was an amazing host, but unfortunately, our great experience started and ended there at...

The building is hidden from Quebec and not to visable from C470. Plenty of parking. Cute, colorful little building. It's a little tough to get into being in a wheelchair. The doors are heavy. It took about 5 minutes for someone to greet us and sit us. They did not ask if I would like a booth or table, which is a common error host. I like to transfer personally. It took about another 5 minutes after being sat when we received chips and salsa. The salsa was hot spicy. They took our drink order, and it took about 10 minutes to get the drinks. We did the all you care to eat tacos and enchiladas. They brought us two tacos with rice and beans. They brought two enchiladas with rice and beans as well. When ordering, they usually bring 2 more. This girl brought one. Then, when we asked for another, she said she may have to charge us. No, it's called all you care to eat for a reason. It seems maybe she is new and probably should ask for help. Also, when we asked for an additional taco for my daughter, she would not bring one out. My daughter was quite disappointed. They seem to be stretched thin for servers. But they are at least friendly. Drinks also ran dry, but we asked for them, and they seemed to do their best to get them out earn they could. Besides slow service and not getting what we asked for, it was a pleasant...
