There's not a lot of good Mexican food in this area. So my family and I were elated when this place was great! We waited until they were open for about 3 weeks before we came in for dinner. We were all very impressed with the food and service. Our server, who was very pleasant, seem to come around just at the right times. She was very sweet to my 7 and 10 year old boys. She even brought them a glass of cherries when they both wanted the cherry atop my drink. This was so sweet, because we didn't expect her to come back with a cup of cherries. The food came out quickly and everything we ordered was delicious. My favorite thing was the Ceviche Trio that I've pictured. I chose to get the fish, the octopus and the shrimp all in different ceviche sauces. All of them were amazing, but the only sauce I would advise on is the mango habanero. It was intense with very sweet and very hot flavors. That may not be for everyone, but I thought it was great. My cocktail was the Tropical, which was a very fruity rum cocktail (also pictured). I told my husband it "tasted like vacation". He tried it and agreed. Reminded me of a Caribbean drink. My husband ordered fajitas and he thought they were fantastic. My boys ordered the kids Carne Asada and the kids burrito and both ate nearly all of their food, which is rare for my kids. All in all, we loved Los Carboncitos. We're pretty sure we've found our local favorite Mexican restaurant!

Don't waste your money here, the service was absolutely horrible. It took about 45 minutes just for the waitress to take our order and the restaurant wasn't even busy. We asked for more chips because we were waiting so long to get our food and the waitress said she was going to charge us for another basket of chips dispite having waited over an hour already. The waitress didn't refill our water or ask if we wanted another drink, we were literally sitting there with empty glasses. We finally got our food about an hour and a half in and my order was wrong so I sent it back and had to sit there with no food while everyone else was eating. The waitress didn't even ask me if I wanted anything else which was weird. My friends were not very happy with the quality of their food, they said it was bland and dry. I asked for a manager and this girl said I'm the manager, she literally looked like she was 12 and she was very inexperienced and didn't ask how she could make things right for us. I asked if they could comp anything on our bill for the bad experience we had and she said only the chips and my burrito that I had to send back but nothing else and I said "well that's too bad would you rather have a bad review on Google and Yelp" and this so-called manager said "yes". I left very disappointed because they don't care about giving the customer a great experience.

Los Carboncitos - Lone Tree, CO If you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine with bold flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Los Carboncitos in Lone Tree is a must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant decor-rich with Mexican cultural touches-sets the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. I ordered the Mar y Tierra Molcajete, a sizzling, stone bowl dish brimming with perfectly cooked meats and seafood, and it was absolutely delicious. The Cóctel de Camarón was fresh and flavorful, and the Torta de Al Pastor was packed with savory, marinated pork that melted in my mouth. The service was excellent-attentive, friendly, and efficient. You really feel taken care of without being rushed, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. The food was bursting wit ithentic flavors, the portions were generous, and the price felt more than fair for the quality. I'll definitely be going back soon-and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for genuine Mexican food in the Denver metro area.

I walked in today around 11:40 am and to my surprise found one of my mentors working the floor of Los Carboncitos , his name is Alfredo if you are looking for excellence in service come find him! Got seated right away by a young lady that was the manager there is no way at such young age you can command a restaurant of this caliber I hope she proofs me wrong and not me but ownership that put their trust in someone so young I have been doing this 40 years and I am still learning, This type of Mexican food is hard to execute and when is done right you've got yourself a gem but you need a whole lot of people to put it all together, this is not Aurora or Denver they expect and demand good food and service, Mezcalita was very good, Michelada was good, chips and salsa were good to but why would you need a full tray to bring chips and salsa slows the service a lot , Pastor is my kryptonite and they have a pit back in the kitchen their tacos were very good I would come back just for that, lamb leg was delicious, it is going to take them time to get all wrinkles iron out but if they pull it all together is going to be interesting and it can be amazing good luck and rely on the people that know the industry inside out!!!!! This was my 4th visit and probably my last every time we came back food and specially service has been on a decline and like I said this could be a gem but there is no one sailing this boat and hopefully they will make it but if they do not improve the service this is going to go down bad( lots of people depend on a restaurant) but it does seem management is there to kind of control employees and there is no engaging your #1 priority your GUEST asking how the food was or your drinks or the service which has become very slow and hard to obtain, I had the tacos al pastor which were very dry and luke warm, my cadillac was good I wanted another one but never offer one or ever came back to the table the waitress was having dinner, it took forever to get the check and there were only 3 more tables. We will not come back and I wish you all the success...

A Hidden Gem You’ll Want to Visit Again and Again!

It’s rare to find a Mexican restaurant that checks all the boxes—delicious food, top-notch service, inviting atmosphere—but this place nails it. My family is active duty military and we come from Miami FL.... Los Cabroncitos made us feel like we were back home!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The indoor-outdoor seating is beautifully designed, complete with soft music, cozy outdoor fireplaces, and a laid-back vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff? Professional, friendly, and genuinely engaging—never rushed or robotic. Ms. Daisy, our server, was an absolute standout! She delivered phenomenal service with warmth and efficiency, making our entire dining experience feel effortless and enjoyable.

The food came out quickly and piping hot—big kudos to the kitchen team! Each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. And let’s talk about the drinks: the margaritas are strong, delicious, and exactly what you need to unwind after a long day. They also offer a solid happy hour with a variety of options that don’t disappoint.

The vibe is perfect whether you're out for a light evening with friends, a casual family dinner, or a relaxing solo escape. Even better? It’s surprisingly affordable, especially given the quality of the food and experience.

Located right off I-470 in front of Sam’s Club near Quebec in Lone Tree, this spot is convenient and easy to find. It’s also dog-friendly—with patio space where your pup can hang out while you dine!

We’ve already decided this will be a regular stop for us—definitely a couple times a week. If you're looking for your new favorite neighborhood spot that delivers on all fronts, look no further.

You have to try it...

This is our second time here and we are currently the only customers at 5:00 on a Saturday. I know, a little early, but Brothers Bar across the street has a ton of people and I guarantee you los Dos is packed right now.

I feel the food is definitely more authentic, and much more spicy, but we think its good. Food and drinks have been good both times.

BUT... there is a few things they need to change or they are not going to make it and we will have another restaurant here soon:

The first thing that you see when you come in are a bunch of employees sitting around and a sign that says you'll be charged 3% extra if you use your credit card. Not very appealing. Also, you get very worried when you walk in and you're the only customers.

Don't advertise draft beer on your menu if you don't have draft beer. And there is no happy hour.

Service and atmosphere could be better. Prices are typical of lone tree area for 2025...a bit too high like everywhere right now. Charged a lot for every little extra too. $13 for 2 extra tortillas, sour cream and a Jalapeno. $85 for 2 with 1 margarita each.

When you only have one couple in your restaurant on a weekend dinner, don't you as the owner/manager come by and ask him how everything is and see what they can do to improve.

Do you advertise anywhere??? We only knew because we saw it going to Brothers one day.

Well, we mighr be back again if they're not...
