Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Centennial

Horrible experience. So visited this location on 4/16/16. I asked what was in one of their salads and the girl working listed the ingredients because it doesn't say on the menu. Everything sounded good and I said okay I'll have that and the acai berry smoothie. I get the smoothie and it's not what I ordered. I thought I would try it anyway to see if it was decent enough so I wouldn't have to bother them to make a new one. It was not great and then find out it had coconut milk in it which I'm allergic to. Awesome. So I send it back. Then the salad comes out and has cheese in it. When I asked what was in the salad before I ordered it, there was no mention of cheese. Then the girl working says "well it's listed in our little menu pamphlet" that they never showed me. I am also lactose intolerant. At this point I have had enough and request a refund. The guy and girl working said they don't know how and a manager who wasn't there had to do it. I asked when would he be back, ate somewhere else, then came back for my refund. I come back and the manager is not there. The two working said "the manager refunded your order and gave you a free smoothie card". I looked at the receipt for the return and it was the original receipt. I asked for a return receipt and they said "that's it. We saw him return it." I had a feeling he didn't or was never really there. I confirmed with my credit card that a refund was never made. As a bonus, the "free" smoothie card had already expired. Alright I hate to do this today today was the last straw. There's been a few services issues in the past and seemed to have straightened things out the past few months. BUT I went in today.. Lunch time so they were fairly busy as there were 6 people in front of me in line a a handful of people waiting at the tables and standing etc. I placed my order for a flat bread sandwich and smoothie with a booster. Sat down and waited like everyone else. I counted 8 people AFTER me that got their smoothie before I got my food (only food). I ensured to mention I hadn't got my smoothie yet and was told it's coming. More and more people (I counted 6) came in-ordered-left after before I was asked what smoothie I ordered. I told her and got it 4 minutes later. I got to the car and sipped the smoothie and realized it was missing the booster. I went back inside and told them what was wrong. I was watching and as I suspected They took the smoothie back and put it back in the blender, added the booster, and brought it back to me. Now my smoothie was all foamy and has a weird consistency to it. I was already running over my lunch break so I had to rush out of there without a chance to really talk to somebody about it all. From the time I ordered and the time I actually left it was 27 minutes! Entire trip was 35 mins! I love the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the Caribbean Chicken Jerk Wrap with Sunshine Smoothie or Bhama Mama Smoothie. I love how Shift Manager in Traning Devante makes his wraps I believe they hold the food together a lot better. Every time I go in there he is always being corrected on something but my belief is that you should make it to the costumers liking and how they want it. I love the atmosphere when I go into Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Since I am Devante’s girlfriend they are always asking him what time I’m going to work when I’m sitting there in the morning eating and saying well she cannot be sitting here all day and that makes me feel very unwelcome. All I do is sit for 2 hours before my shift. I don’t think anything is wrong with that. I also find that Zack and Sierra are very nice and welcoming every time I come in. They always speak with me are always saying Hello very friendly. Kris is very sweet lady as well. Some of the employees I notice are most of the time in the back talking or on there phones most of the time. One Employee because it was slow proceed to sit on the counter. In my opinion is very unsanitary.
