Tex Mex tequila — Restaurant in Chadds Ford Township

First time based on good reviews. We were looking forward to a nice meal. It was between 6:30 and 7:30 on a Saturday night and there were only three tables occupied including one large party of about ten. Perhaps they are serving lots of takeout? The server was attentive until we had eaten and then was hard to find. The three "Tacos Tropical' were a mixed bag. The chicken was dry and over done. The shrimp one was delicious and the fish tasted poor and I ate around the fish because the other ingredients were so good. The Al Pastor bowl was big but the meat was a very small part of the bowl ingredients. Disappointing. The music was appropriate but louder than we'd have liked. It was still possible to converse but the music was mildly intrusive. It is nice to see that more restaurants like this one are using the handheld card receipt machines to show the bill, take a credit card and print a receipt without having the card be taken to the back. It's only one time here but since it was prime time on a Saturday night and the lack of patrons was obvious, I fear that if this is normal, it will be hard for this place to continue operations very long. My husband and I tried this place. The place is big and it looks very modern. We found out they are open for parties and celebrations. They play Latin music and it has a good vibe. It wasn’t too loud so you can actually have conversations without shouting. Food is fantastic. Our server recommended the “cóctel de camarón” (shrimp cocktail), so we decided to share one. It was sooo good that we had to get more. The Mexican street corn was also very good. We had fish fajitas. I never saw that dish in a menu, so we went for it. We made the right choice. The fajitas were absolutely delicious, we both loved it. Just the right amount of salt. I’m not a big fan of the Mexican rice but I tried this one and was actually good. My husband had a tequila sunrise and loved it.

Typically, either me or my husband will leave a review. The food and service was so GREAT it is worthy of two review. The food here has the best Mexican Food in our area. The server was nice as well as the other staff there. The chips were served nice and warm and the salsa was very tasty. My husband had the tropical tacos, he loved them all and the tilapia one was his favorite. I order the burrito fajita, the seasoning was perfect, the chicken very tender and the taste was AMAZING !!!! I actually said, "mmmmm" as I was eating it was so good. The add a nice cheese sauce to the top and it was perfect. The rice and black beans were great as well. We can not wait to go back here and have another meal.
