Walnut Street Tea Company — Restaurant in Champaign

Finally came in this store, I've been eyeing it for a long time and Christmas shopping finally gave me an excuse to come in. Its a cute little shop with a little bit of everything - teapots, tea infusers, coffee, mugs, chocolate, honey, gift sets, and LOTS of tea to choose from. There is an entire wall of custom blended loose leaf tea. They have it pre-sorted into bags of different sizes, and some have short descriptions of the flavor. They have other kinds of tea too, not just the loose leaf. I've had a few of the tea varieties and loved them! I love the flavored black tea blends. For pricing, I feel like you could spend a little or a lot depending on what you pick, but there's definitely options for all budgets. I will...

I just moved to town awhile back, and i was thrilled to see a legitimate Tea Shop in town. I've only been once so far, but it will absolutely be a regular thing.

The mini Pu'er cakes have a great taste and are very high quality

The Silver Needle White is probably my favorite so far that I've tried. Very little breakage, and it was absolutely all bud tips with hairs intact, no leaves at all. Sweet, fruity, not astringent at all.

I tried a few other blends as well, all were solid teas. Their "Chinese Restaurant" blend has been my go to drink with meals lately.

Then the girl working there was super nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. She's an awesome employee.

Extremely nice staff with a great selection and knowledge of the products available. Loose leaf tea, coffee beans, and sachets of tea in MANY varieties. Whether you just want to try a a single sachet, or to stock up with boxes/bags; they have many different options for any need...plus honey, candy/chocolates, and many tea brewing accessories.

Personally, I stick with mostly herbals. Was able to find a canister of healing "Milk Thistle" tea, and a "Green Rooibos" variation of my favorite bedtime tea that I didn't even know existed.
